Inverness, FL (March 1, 2010) Only SIX more days and the 2nd Annual Blast from the Past will be here at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness. Six days to a day filled with fun, laughter, good old story telling, memories from all over, and friendships reunited and born.
“This has been one heck of a road,” said Joyce Lankford, Event Organizer, “but well worth it come Sunday. I am so excited about this second annual Blast and seeing everyone that I can’t wait six more days.”
Sunday, the pit gate will open at 8 am with the grandstands opening at 12 noon. General admission is the grandstands is $10.00, children 12 and under FREE.
Pit admission is $20.00 with children free unless they are eating and their bbq ticket is $5.00. Each pit entry will enjoy some great food in the pits. But you must have a pit band for the bbq.
All drivers, 60 and over, will be admitted FREE with one guest to the Blast from the Past.
Remember, non parishable food donations are asked for the Citrus United Basket and their food bank. So please, bring a few cans of soup, vegetables, some noodles, any non-parishable food item.
The Super 8 Motel in Wildwood has special rates for anyone who says they are attending the Blast from the Past at Citrus. Rooms are $40.00 plus tax. The Super 8 Motel is located at I-75 exit 329 at 344 East S.R. 44 in Wildwood, Florida 34785. The phone number is 352-748-3783.
Super 8 has smoking and non smoking rooms, wireless internet access in all rooms and the lobby, exterior corrdior entry to rooms for easy drive up access, coffee maker and micro fridge in each room, PETS are allowed, FREE continental breakfast and truck/bus parking.
