Pensacola, FL -May 25th 2011- Oops, we’re 1 day late, but nevertheless, we would like to invite you to join us this Friday Night as we kick off the Memorial Day Weekend with race #2 in the Buddy’s Home Furnishing Blizzard Series, the Papa Johns 100. The lightning fast Super Late Models put on one of the most competitive races in recent memory in the Series opener on March 25th. A stellar field of cars are expected for this event including opening night winner Bubba Pollard, ARCA Series regular Grant Enfinger, and Oklahoma’s Donnie Wilson. In addition, Texan Casey Smith returns, along with former NASCAR Elite Series Champion Jeff Fultz, and the Father/Daughter team of Donald and Johanna Long. All said, with a few surprises, some 25 to 30 teams are expected to converge on the Gulf Coast this weekend.
Also returning for their 2nd appearance of 2011 are the Open Wheel Modifieds. This group of cars put on a dazzling performance on April 8th. Baldwin County favorite Nathan Ingersol won the battle of the Nathans as he narrowly edged out North Alabama driver Nathan Davis. There is a healthy list of drivers in this division as well, so be ready for some action. And speaking of action, the Sportsman Division never lets the Fans down. There are some real rivalries building in both the Sportsman and Bomber Divisions. Last week, the track security was kept busy trying to maintain peace between a few drivers in these ultra competitive Divisions.
With just 14 events on the 2011 racing schedule leading up to the Snowball Derby, it’s our wish that you can make each and every one. But, if for whatever reason, you have to pick and choose which events you can attend, make sure this Friday Night is one of them. We sure you won’t be disappointed!!. Hope to see ya a
