Bradenton,Fl. ASA racing returned to the high-banks of DeSoto Super Speedway with the Hoosier Elite Series Late Models.

Fifteen year old Matt Tifft from Hinckley, Ohio would start on the pole but it wasn’t long before Jeff Scofield who started on the outside of the front row jumped out to the lead with Wayne Anderson into second.

It wasn’t long before the lead duo would put on a clinic of late model racing as they went side by battling for the lead for fifteen plus laps before Anderson would take over the top spot.

Anderson would cruise to the win with Scofield finishing second, third would be Jessie Dutilly, fourth across the stripe was Icebreaker winner Anthony Campi and rounding out the top five was Joe Boyd.

Sportsman

Steve Gainey returned to DeSoto in a big way as he took the win in the ever popular Sportsman class. Mark Peterson finished second, third was Timmy Lowe, fourth was Greg Krom and fifth Duane Best.

Bombers

Once again the Bomber class had the fans on their feet as the final laps came down to side by side door handle to door handle racing for the lead between “The Punisher” Michael Crooks and Steve Elder. Crooks was going for the hat trick looking for three wins in a row but Elder would have none of it as he edged Crooks out at the stripe by a bumper. Jimmie Best would finish in the third position, fourth across the stripe was John Stewart and fifth went to Jerome Watland.
