Orlando FL – After a summer break the Florida United Pro-Truck series gets back to action this Saturday night at Citrus County Speedway. The previous event at Citrus was said by many to be one of the best short track races they had seen in a long time and best truck race they had ever seen. Great door to door action throughout the field was seen by the great crowd on hand.
” We had a great race the last time hear and our group of drivers have put on action filled events at every track, but Citrus just stands out as one of the best. I am hoping and expecting more of the same this time” said series director Rick Bristol.
” We also have added Shawn Reutimann to the team and he will be the race director going forward. His experience as a spotter for cousin David Reutimann in the Nascar trucks, nationwide and cup series will help him tremendously and he is a fair and professional guy, I am really happy to have him on board. This will allow me to focus on overseeing everything, better communicating with teams, attracting sponsors and more”.
Heading into the event the points battle is a close one and may stay that way all the way to the finale December 1st at Auburndale Speedway.
Tim Sozio continues to lead the standing with 109 points, Gerald Campbell is second just 3 markers back with 106. Danny Anderson who missed a race is third with 80. Nick Hernandez is fourth with 79, and rounding out the top five is rookie of the year leader Michael Lira with 78. Joseph Mursuli 72, Mica Williams 70, Jessica Murphy 67, Dylan Martin 66 and Jessica Green 66 round out a very close top 10.
