As preparations for the second annual Winternationals events at the historic Ocala Speedway continue, a request from the headlining racing series has prompted an expansion of the original schedule.  The O’Reilly Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champions has requested extra practice time for the 410 sprint cars, and Ocala Speedway has added an additional night of practice in response.  Both the 410 sprint cars and the Florida Mini Sprint Association will be able to practice on both nights.

A practice session had been scheduled for Thursday evening, January 28th, in order for the race teams to have time to adjust to Ocala Speedway’s unique layout and have a chance to dial in for the racing action on the following two nights.  But a change in tire manufacturers has prompted some teams to request more time, so another practice has been added on Wednesday, January 27th.  Both practice sessions will be open to the public and both will run from 4 until 8PM.  Admission will be $15 for adults with children under 12 admitted free, and all attendees will be required to sign a pit area release before being allowed to enter.

Racing will take place on Friday and Saturday nights, January 29th and 30th, with the grandstand gates open at 5 PM and racing beginning at 8 PM.  Admission prices for Friday night will be $20 for adults, teens admitted for $10, and children 12 and under for $5.  Saturday racing admission is the same for teens and children, but $25 for adults.  Pit passes are $35 per day, and a two day grandstand pass will be available for $40.  A complete schedule of events is now posted at www.OcalaSpeedway.com as part of the 2010 racing schedule.

All media outlets are reminded that requests for credentials must be faxed in advance to 352-622-3126.  Credentials will be granted at the discretion of the speedway owners.  For more information, contact Ocala Speedway at 352-622-9400.
