Richards Charges to Brown County Victory

ABERDEEN, S.D. (July 16, 2019) – Josh Richards stormed to the victory in the 3rd annual Bullet Sportswear Shootout on Tuesday night at Brown County Speedway.

Richards started fifth and powered to the lead ahead of Brandon Sheppard on lap 35 en-route to claim his second Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series win of the season.

Tim McCreadie climbed from his eleventh starting position to finish second as he passed Stormy Scott for the runner-up position in the final laps. Scott recorded his best career LOLMDS finish by taking third at the checkers. Sheppard held on to finish fourth and took Jonathan Davenport took fifth.

Sheppard was in control of the race in the early going, but Richards quickly made his way from the inside of row number three to wrestle the second spot from Scott. Sheppard and Richards then duked it out for the lead with Richards passing Sheppard through the middle of the racetrack with fifteen laps remaining.

Richards had to withstand one last caution flag with eleven laps remaining, but once the race resumed Richards went on uncontested for the 27th time in his LOLMDS career, which is fifth all-time in series history.

“It feels good to get back to Lucas Oil Victory Lane,” said the 31-year-old West Virginia native. We have had a fast car for most of the year, just a lot of bad luck has hit us. We had two runner-up finishes at Portsmouth and Tyler County. We haven’t run here that much in the past. I got the lead from Brandon [Sheppard] by rolling through the middle.”
Runner-up Tim McCreadie, commented: “We had that incident in the heat race which set us back. We qualified well and then we had to go to the tail. The car was real maneuverable tonight. From where we started, we are pleased. Congrats to Josh, he was strong there especially at the end of the race.”

Scott continues to show improvement in his maiden season with the series. “We have had a real good car the last few weeks. My crew continues to work and work on this thing and they have got it the best it’s been all year. This has been a tough year, but a learning one. A lot of these tracks I have never run on before. We have been here once before in a modified. If we can keep the good finishes going hopefully, we can knock out a win before the year ends.”

The winner’s Clint Bowyer Racing, Rocket Chassis is powered by a Cornett Racing Engine and sponsored by: iRacing.com, Peak Antifreeze and Coolant, Ford Performance, DeKalb Seeds, BlueAg, Sunoco Race Fuels, and Integra.

Completing the top ten were Devin Moran, Tyler Erb, Jimmy Owens, Shanon Buckingham, and Chase Junghans.

Davenport Dashes to Diamond Nationals Finale

WHEATLAND, Mo. (July 14, 2019) – Jonathan Davenport picked up his second-career CMH Diamond Nationals – Presented by Super Clean on Sunday night at the Lucas Oil Speedway.

It was not easy for the defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion as he had to hold off a hard-charging Mike Marlar to pick up the $15,000 victory. Davenport’s only other win in the annual July event was in 2015.

Marlar managed to pass Davenport for the lead as the two came out of turn two on lap 52 but a caution for Tyler Erb negated the pass for the top spot. Davenport opened up a couple of car lengths advantage over Marlar on the restart. Marlar closed the gap in the final two laps, but came up just short at the finish line.
Shanon Buckingham started alongside Marlar in row number five and went on for another impressive run for the second night in a row as he captured the third finishing position. Tim McCreadie, who led the first ten laps of the race, finished in fourth followed by Billy Moyer.

Davenport and McCreadie started on the front row. McCreadie got the jump on Davenport and took the early lead. Davenport passed McCreadie for the lead on lap 11 and held a comfortable lead for a large portion of the race as McCreadie held the second spot.

As the checkers grew closer, Marlar started to make his move by taking the second spot away from McCreadie on lap 45. Marlar then tracked down Davenport but lost all momentum, after clearing Davenport just before the caution for Erb came out. Davenport led the last seven laps to record his ninth series win of 2019.

“The track started to clean up at the end we were trying to move around,” said the 35-year-old Georgia native. “We were trying to find a line that would work. My line kept going away at the top, so I moved back to the bottom. I guess that caution saved us. Mike [Marlar] has been really good here lately. He has been really consistent. We finally got some speed back in this thing.”

“Steve Martin is here from Nutrien Ag Solutions,” Davenport added. “We have had a heck of a week so far. I want to thank my crew Jason, Tyler, and Matt. They made this car a whole lot better for the feature. We just all put our heads together and we got the results we wanted here tonight. I would like to get another championship for Lance Landers Motorsports.”

“We would have had the pass of the night,” said Marlar who recorded another strong finish with the series. “I am not going to whine about it. I got paid to drive a race car tonight so things aren’t so bad. I really enjoy coming out here. It is such an awesome facility. It is always a great crowd here. There’s a lot of electricity in the air. We had an awesome weekend.”

Buckingham who is one of 11 drivers to win an LOLMDS race this season had his best ever finish at Lucas Oil Speedway. “This place is super nice. How could you not like this place? For whatever reason this track just fits my driving style. My crew worked themselves to death to get us a podium finish here tonight. Those cautions killed me, if we could have had the last 19 laps all green, I think we would have been up there challenging for the win.”

The winner’s Lance Landers Motorsports-owned, Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Cornett Racing Engine and is sponsored by: Nutrien Ag Solutions, ASC Warranty, Penske Racing Shocks, Valvoline, Mega Plumbing of the Carolinas, Spartan Mowers, and Hawkeye Trucks.

Completing the top ten were Josh Richards, Scott Bloomquist, Stormy Scott, Will Vaught, and Devin Moran.

MIKE VAUGHN’S AUTO EXCHANGE TO SPONSOR TYLER CLEM IN SOUTHERN NATIONALS

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Mike Vaughn’s Auto Exchange of Cartersville, GA will sponsor Dirt Late Model Young Gun Tyler Clem of Ocala, FL in the Southern Nationals Dirt Late Model Series. The 16-year-old driver will be running for Rookie of the Year honors driving car #58T for Big Frog Motorsports.

Clem stepped on the National stage of dirt late model racing at the age of 12 on May 2, 2015 during NASCAR weekend at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. After starting sixth for the 50-lap Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series race, Clem took the lead of the race on lap six.

By lap 22, Clem had a challenge for the point by a National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame legend. Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN pulled alongside the youngster and took the lead on lap 23. Clem right back and reclaimed the top spot from Johnson on the next lap. The crowd roared their approval to the point they drowned out the sounds the race cars.

The 12-year-old Clem and the 59-year-old Johnson raced side-by-side for the lead for the next ten laps. The veteran Johnson threw everything he had at Clem before he took command of the race on lap 33.

Johnson went on to win the race, but Victory Lane was empty when Johnson climbed out. All of the noise from applause and cheering fans took place further down the race track. Clem parked at the end of the front straightaway, and the crowd was climbing the fences to get a look at this kid.

Johnson said he might have won the race, but Tyler Clem was the show. That was high praise from one of the most respected dirt late model race car drivers in the history of the sport. The next morning across the street at Talladega Super Speedway, the buzz word in the Garage Area was Tyler Clem.

The Southern Nationals is an 11-race series that begins on July 13 and runs through July 27 at 11 different tracks in Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia. Clem will have plenty of tough competition from the top dirt late model drivers in the country.

“Tyler Clem was so impressive and showed so much poise in the race with Ronnie Johnson at Talladega Short Track, it left a lasting impression on me,” Mike Vaughn said. “We’re proud to have Mike Vaughn’s Auto Exchange on Tyler’s race car for the Southern Nationals, and we’re confident he will be successful.”

Mike Vaughn’s Auto Exchange has been a sponsor of some of the top dirt late model racers for over 25 years. The list of drivers that have carried the Mike Vaughn’s Auto Exchange logo on their race cars include Johnson, Hall of Famer driver Jeff Purvis, Mike Head, Marshall Green, and Sprint Car Hall of Fame driver Danny Lasoski.

In addition to Dirt Late Models, Clem has also had racing experience in 410 and 360 Sprint Cars, plus Open-Wheel Modifieds in his young racing career that began at the age of 11. Not only has Clem had experience in the afore mentioned racing equipment, he has won races in each of them. Big Frog Motorsports has won many races and National Championship that include the 2017 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series.

Tyler Erb Does it Again at Tri-City

GRANITE CITY, Ill. (July 11, 2019) – Tyler Erb emerged victorious after battling Jimmy Owens and Mike Marlar to win his fifth Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event of the season on Thursday night at Tri-City Speedway. The Hoker Trucking Best in the Business 50 – Presented by Schoenfeld Headers was also Erb’s second consecutive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory. Tim McCreadie came on strong to finish third just ahead of Owens and Earl Pearson Jr. Erb started the day by setting fast time, then went on to earn the PFC Brakes Pole Award for the main event. Owens grabbed the early lead and held the point for the first 22 laps of the race. The next six laps saw a back-and-forth race for the lead between Owens and Erb. Erb took the lead for the first time on lap 23, but Owens fought back to regain the top spot. The two raced side-by-side with Erb regaining the lead on the 30th circuit. Marlar took over the second spot on lap 39 after he and Owens had battled side-by-side for several circuits. A caution came out with five laps to go, which gave Marlar one more opportunity to sneak by Erb. On the restart Erb used the clean air in front of him to open up a slight lead, and went on to cross 3/4 of a second ahead of Marlar at the finish line for his sixth career LOLMDS victory. “I really didn’t want to see that last caution because I had gotten into a rhythm,” said Erb. “I was kind of kicking myself when Jimmy got back by me for the lead. I knew when Mikey was behind me that things were going to be tough. I could hear Jimmy under me and then the same thing with Mikey. I just kind of let it go for broke in the last four laps. About a month ago I was in the same position and I wasn’t going to let what happened last time, happen again.” With the win, the 22-year-old Texan not only keeps his points lead in the Rookie-of-the-Year chasebut also cut into point leader Jonathan Davenport’s championship point lead. Davenport finished 18th after pulling off the track due to heavy damage to his racecar. “That was a pretty exciting race! Thank you to Jimmy and Mikey for racing me clean. We are really looking forward to racing again here tomorrow night. I really like this place. They do a great job preparing it. You can really move around all over it.” For Marlar, the runner-up finish continued his strong run of podium finishes since the first of June in the LOLMDS. “This was an awesome race-track tonight, we could run anywhere on it. I ran the top, but I felt the car working better on the bottom. I have always enjoyed coming here, but I have never had much success here. Glad to come here tonight and get the monkey off of our back.” McCreadie stayed in the top five and grabbed the third spot at the finish. “This was a good run. It’s Phillip’s [Crew Chief Phillip Snellen] birthday today. We are still working on a lot of things and we are getting closer. We started with a new shock company for the team and they had been out of racing for a long time, but we keep making strides and hopefully we can get a win soon.” The winner’s Eric and Kelly Brock-owned, Best Performance Motorsports, Rocket Chassis is powered by a Durham Racing Engine and is sponsored by: Industrial Resourcing Group, Roberts Bee Company, New Point Lighting and Design, Bazell Race Fuels, Sunoco, Franklin Enterprises, Valvoline, Keyser, and KBC Graphix. Completing the top ten were Devin Moran, Chris Simpson, Hudson O’Neal, Scott Bloomquist, and Stormy Scott. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Richards Roars to First Lucas Oil Win of the Season

COLUMBUS, Miss. (May 30, 2019) – Josh Richards picked up his first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series win of the season on Thursday night a Magnolia Motor Speedway. The Clint Bowyer Racing pilot scored the win on night one of the GEICO Clash at the Mag – presented by Big River Steel. Richards made a clean sweep of the night’s racing activities as he set the Miller Welders Overall Fast Time, then won his heat race to earn the PFC Brakes Pole Award. He later led the final 15 laps of the 25-lap main event to cap off a perfect night. Tim McCreadie grabbed the lead from his fourth-starting spot on the opening lap. McCreadie led until Richards passed him for the top spot on lap 11. Richards then fought off side-by-side attempts from McCreadie to become the eighth different series winner of 2019. McCreadie finished in second, followed by Richards’ teammate, Don O’Neal. Defending Clash at the Mag winner, Hudson O’Neal was fourth and Mike Marlar took the fifth spot in his first LOLMDS appearance of the season. “At the start of the race we spun our tires a little bit,” said the 31-year-old racer who scored his 26th career series victory. “I tried to pace myself through the middle of the track. I didn’t want to get too boxed in behind lapped traffic. He [McCreadie] got close a couple of times. We have had a lot of speed lately, but we just haven’t been able to put it all together. This was just a 25-lapper but it feels good to get the victory. Anytime you run laps, you run hard. The way the format is this year it was important to get off to a good start tonight.” McCreadie was also looking for his first LOLMDS win of the year but continues his string of strong finishes with his runner-up performance. “I got off to a good start, then had a little bit of a driver error. I should have gotten down on the bottom. This is such a nice racetrack. We will take a second and come back tomorrow night and hopefully get one spot better. We are trying our best to help our Longhorn Chassis drivers. We can’t do a lot of testing like some of these other guys, but I think we can hold our own against them.” Don O’Neal, who is a two-time Clash at the Mag winner, completed the podium with his third-place run. “Congratulations to Josh and his crew. They needed a win just like we did. I thought where we started tonight, we could get it done, but we had a good points night and we’ll come back together and give it another try.” The winner’s Clint Bowyer Racing, Rocket Chassis is powered by a Cornett Racing Engine and sponsored by IRacing.com, Peak Antifreeze and Coolant, Ford Performance, DeKalb, BlueAg and Integra. Completing the top ten were Earl Pearson Jr., Tyler Erb, Stormy Scott, Devin Moran, and Jonathan Davenport. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

BRONSON BANKS $10,000 AT FAYETTEVILLE

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (June 13, 2019) – Kyle Bronson battled to re-take the lead from Brandon Overton on lap 44 and then cruised to his second career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory on Thursday night at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. With the win, Bronson becomes the tenth different winner this season on the tour. A healthy crowd was on hand for the Dunn-Benson Ford Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial – presented by GETSCO. Trailing Bronson and Overton across the finish line were Tyler Erb, Hudson O’Neal, and Jonathan Davenport. Bronson is also the fifth different winner in the five appearances by Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Fayetteville. Erb led the first twelve laps of the race until Davenport forged ahead on the thirteenth circuit. Davenport held the lead over Bronson until lap 31 when Bronson took over the point. Overton led one lap until Bronson raced back around him for good with six laps remaining. It was a big week for Bronson as he celebrated his 29th birthday on Tuesday and picked up the victory in his first-ever appearance at Fayetteville. “I have had a really good car the last few months, but we don’t have the results to show for it. With all the bad luck we have had, we showed how fast of a car we have tonight. I let JD [Davenport] get the lead and I was kicking myself about how I let him by.” “It was a fun track to drive on, it had some character,” Bronson added. “I have to give a big thanks to Mark Richards, he has helped me so much. We stay at Bob Pierce’s shop when we are out on the road. This is the first time we have gotten to come here because we got rained out here last year. We have a fast race car and I knew our time was going to come to get another win. Hopefully we can ride this wave out a little longer.” Overton in the Rum Rummer Racing, Rocket Chassis finished second as he and his team were competing with heavy hearts after the passing of crew member Billy Vacek. “It’s been a tough week with Billy’s passing. I am going to try so hard like I did tonight to get a win for him this weekend. Our hats are off to Kyle for the win. I led a lap and then he got back around me. He [Bronson] did a really good job. I really wanted to get that win for Billy. I guarantee you the fans got their money’s worth tonight. I am looking forward to Cherokee tomorrow night.” Erb continued a string of impressive runs with his third-place finish. “We got the lead early, but the more the race went on, the crazier it got. Kyle did a good job, especially on the restarts. I think we were about three-wide for a second. We finished and I don’t know how. We have two more nights of racing so we have to work on it some more to get this car better. Congrats to Kyle, he is one of my best buddies, we travel up and down the road together and I am really happy for him.” The winner’s Rocket Chassis is powered by a Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by: Brandon Ford, Brandon Collision, Race Car Engineering, Keyser, VP Fuels , Integra Shocks, Valvoline, and All-Florida Real Estate Group. Completing the top ten were Josh Richards, Devin Moran, Dustin Mitchell, Jimmy Owens, and Michael Brown. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

CODY McDUFFIE SURVIVES WILD FLORIDA PRO TRUCK SERIES RACE AT AUBURNDALE SPEEDWAY

Rain tried its best to dampen the spirits of everybody Saturday at Auburndale Speedway but track owner Rex Guy would stick a dagger in Mother Nature and the show went on despite a late start in front of a very good crowd… and it would be a long night.

Persistent rain, heavy at times, fell at the track off and on between 2 and 5 pm as everything was put on hold.  Just after 5, the skies began to clear and it was time to dry the track and get to the business of racing.

The big event of the night would be a 50-lap point race for the Florida Pro Truck Challenge Series and the pits were crowded as 32 Truck teams showed up to do battle.  Qualifying was held almost two hours late from its scheduled time with 31 of the Trucks getting laps in as Jacob Nicoletti’s team was thrashing on his machine after hitting the turn four wall in hot laps.

Quick time would again go to Derek Pugh who seems to have a handle on how to get around Auburndale Speedway all by himself.  Pugh’s lap of 14.364 topped the laps turned by Cody McDuffie, Jason Lester, Becca Monopoli and Brent Huber.  The top 16 in time trials were locked in to the big show with everybody else relegated to a pair of 15-lap B-Main qualifiers including Huber who had to run one of the B’s after being set down in post-qualifying tech.

The top four in each race would move on to the 50 lapper that would start a field of 24.

Huber worked his way through the field to claim the first B-Main trailed by Adam Briggs, Shea Montgomery and Dodge Carlbert as those four moved on to the feature.  The night ended early for Bryton Horner, Carter Brown, Dave Fewox and Nick White.

Leroy Moore, celebrating his birthday, led all the way to claim B-Main number two with Billy Carlbert second and Jeff White third.  Dylan Martin spun on lap three but drove like crazy to grab the final transfer spot.  Martin was making his first start in his Pro Truck since a near-fatal motorcycle accident several months ago.  Failing to transfer were Nicoletti (who did a great job considering his big wall hit in practice), Johnny Marra, Mark Kemick and Josh Haranda.

The top six qualifiers were inverted for the start of the 50-lap contest placing young Brennon Pletcher on the pole flanked by veteran Truck racer Steve Darvalics who quickly powered his way to the lead at the drop of the green.  Caution was out quickly on lap five as Colt Cecil bit out a chunk of the back stretch wall.  Cecil pitted and was able to return to action.

Darvalics continued to set the pace but McDuffie was on the move taking second from Monopoli on lap eight then blasting his way to the lead two laps later.

Pugh moved by Pletcher into fourth as McDuffie was already in lapped traffic by the 16th circuit.  At that point McDuffie was in a class of his own as he had opened up a full straight lead by the half way mark.  The top ten at lap 25 consisted of McDuffie, Darvalics, Monopoli, Pugh, Lester, Mike Kohut, Pletcher, Rich Clouser, Danny Anderson and Richard Griffis.

Everything would change big time on lap 26, though, as the trucks running 3rd thru ninth would all end up with damage after an altercation off turn two with several lapped trucks.  Pugh and Lester pitted as did Kohut who did not return.  Other machines with damage included Clouser, Pletcher, Shea Montgomery and Jeff White.  Both Pugh and Lester made it back out for the restart which saw another multi-truck melee on the front stretch that ended the night for Kristen Clements.  Also receiving damage were the trucks of Danny Anderson, Adam Briggs and Brent Huber although all would eventually continue.  Rich Clouser pitted his machine during the caution and did not return.  At this point 19 trucks were still in the running.

McDuffie continued to lead easily as Monopoli forged here was by Darvalics into second on lap 29 only to see that pass negated when Martin spun around in turn two.  Jason Lester pitted to try and fix damage and returned minus his hood and fenders but the right front of the truck had gone askew and he went to the pits a final time and was later DQ’d to the rear of the field for an undetermined issue.

McDuffie continued to overwhelm the field as the drivers managed to get all the way to lap 36 before Jeff White spun in turn two.  Three laps later the red flag was out as Huber climbed over the left side of Anderson’s truck in turn four, nearly getting on his side.  Anderson was out of the event while Huber returned briefly only to drop out soon after.  Quite a bit of fluid and debris littered the turn four area and it took close to 15 minutes to clean up, adding to the long night.

Once the green flag came back out, the final 11 laps ran off without a hitch other than a late front stretch spin by Billy Carlbert that starter Julian Mullis was not about to throw another caution flag for.  McDuffie took the checker well ahead of Darvalics who had to hold off a hard-charging Monopoli over the final laps.  Pletcher held on for fourth while Brey Holmes had the best race of his career, staying out of trouble all the way to score a fifth place finish for a team that has been plagued with mostly mechanical issues during the past year.

Pugh held on to finish sixth with Leroy Moore, Griffis, Briggs and Shea Montgomery rounding out the top ten.  Completing the finishers were Dodge Carlbert, Martin, Cecil, Billy Carlbert, Jimmy Frazier III (who had a top ten run end late when he hit the wall), Anderson, Huber, Colt Hensley, Jeff White, Kohut, Clouser, Clements, Big Donnie Burkhalter and Lester.  Burkhalter had a tough weekend, blowing an engine in Friday practice then losing his brakes early in the race.

Immediately after the Truck race finished, Dodge Carlbert climbed in his Pure Stock car… then he went out and won the 20-lap feature after starting scratch on the field.

Wild Child Jammie Dunnahoe, Jr, won the Pure Stock heat and had the pole for the feature but broke a transmission coming off turn two on the opening lap, scattering the field.  Chuck Mathias held the top spot for ten laps but could not hold off Carlbert who scored his second victory in a row.  Aaron Holmes was back behind the wheel on this night and he made a late pass to claim second over Mathias, James Wright III, Kate Clouser (making her very first start here), Matt McCrary and Dunnahoe.

Jason Bartram got a huge monkey off his back as his new car performed flawlessly for once and he led start to finish to claim the 25-lap Sportsman feature.  Jamie Kennedy charged up to run on Bartram’s bumper over the final laps but had to settle for second over Charlie Brown, Tom Zimmerman, Alexa Anderson and Steven O’Steen.  O’Steen was driving a car that he’ll be taking to Bristol, TN in a few weeks and was doing a “shake down” run.

In other action, James Wright III led all the way to claim yet another V-8 Bomber victory trailed by Travis Todd, Bud Bronson, Ronnie Abney, Brian Harbin, Brandon Love, Jimmy McLeod and Jason Sopczak.  Wright also won the heat.

Wilson Martins, Sr. topped the Mini Cup action over heat winner Maria Martins, Leandro Martins, Bill Rychel and Russell Bush.

Chris Narramore, Jr. topped both the heat and feature in the Mini Stocks outgunning Chuck Frazier, David McCaig, Freddy Martin and Tav Gary.

Guy Kolmel won his first career feature in the Scramblers leading Donnie Mosman and Trenton Henick to the checker.  Kolmel also was the heat race winner.

Brandon Overton Thrills Large Crowd At Talladega Southern All Star Event

RACE RECAP: MARYVILLE, TN–The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its first stop of the season Saturday night at the Talladega Short Track during NASCAR Weekend in the area and the record crowd on hand got to see a true battle for the 40 lap main event as Brandon Overton got his fourth career series win. It was hard fought as he moved to the outside of Ashton Winger who led lap one, and then Overton took the spot back on lap two. Then with the addition of Austin Horton,  the trio battled for the top spot throughout the race three wide several times with Overton coming out on top. Winger had to battle with Horton late in the race to keep second but he managed to get his second top five finish of the weekend. 2017 Southern All Star Champion Austin Horton made his first start with the series this year and was in the battle all night and just came up short and finished third, fourth went to Kyle Beard from his 10th starting spot and fifth to Riley Hickman finished fifth after his 22nd place finish the night before at Smoky Mt.  Neil Baggett finished sixth, Dillon Tidmore seventh, Zach Leonhardi eighth, Ahanna Parkhurst ninth and Bub McCool tenth.

RACE TIDBITS: Ahanna Parkhurst in her first start with the series in 2019 moved from 18th to 9th in race. Bub McCool was in early race caution and fought back to a tenth place finish. Overall fast qualifier Jack Hale fell out early due to mechanical issue as did three time Southern All Star Champion Ronnie Johnson who was driving the Cruz Skinner car.
