Halloween Eve brought around 100 cars to the track for a fun and freaky night of racing.  The grandstand was packed with the young and some old in Halloween costumes.  Over 50 drivers and teams distributed candy during the intermission as the goblins and ghosts ventured onto the racing surface.

The Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel Street Stocks were first on the schedule as Donnie Reed won his 7th feature race of the season.  Thomas Pratt held off James Hook to take the 2nd place finish.  Hook finished 3rd.   Buck Woodhouse and Eric Moon rounded out the top-5.  Roy Woodhouse and Clarence Pratt were victorious in the heats.

The Outlaw 4’s saw Matthew Haynes started 13th and win his series leading 9th race of the season.  Billy Howard started 5th and finished 2nd.  Chris Zimmerman finished 3rd.  Jody Robbins finished 4th with a strong run from an 8th place starting position.  Stephen Hohlbaugh rounded out the top-5.  Hohlbaugh and Howard won the heat races. 

In the Racecar Engineering Late Models Doug Horton started on the front row and led through numerous early cautions to take the win.  It was the second win for Horton this season at the Clay by the Bay.  Jack Nosbisch, Jr. started last in the field and finished 2nd.  Perry Brown ran in the top 5 all night long and finished 3rd.  Travis Varnadore finished 4th.  Doug Watson started on the pole and finished 5th.  David Schmauss, Brown, and Bryan Bernhardt won the heat races.

The East Bay Sprints were in action for their 15 lap feature even Danny Martin, Jr. picked up his third win of the season after leading the event flag to flag.  Danny Martin, Jr. commented in victory lane that a fuel line became detached in the driver’s compartment of the car and that  he was able to hold it with one hand and drive the car with his free hand.  Tim George finished 2nd.  Stephen Darvalics finished 3rd.  Gene Lasker and Bill Boyd rounded out the top-5.   Darvalics, Rocky Sullivan and Martin, Jr. won the heats.

The Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers Michael Eaton picked up his second win in a row and third win of the year.  Johnnie Alexander finished 2nd after starting 5th.  Henry Burnside finished 3rd.  Troy Dittebrand and George Handy rounded out the top-5.  Raymond Van, Eaton and   Alexander were victorious in the heats.  Robert Purcell, Robert Kissam and Patrick Fiore, Sr. raced into the A- Main feature event for the Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers via top 3 finishes in the B-Main event.
