Orlando FL. 1-31-14 – Series director Rick Bristol, and Joey Coulter have reached an agreement to run two dirt races as part of the 15 race schedule for the Fellows Truck Brokers Florida Pro-Truck Series. The events will be July 12th & October 4th at the North Florida Speedway.

” We think this helps make this series a real stepping stone for the truck drivers. They can develop skills on asphalt and dirt to help them gain experience for future racing aspirations. We are also working toward adding next year a road course event, as we tried to do back in 2012 with our other series, then it is a full series with real credibility” stated Bristol.

” We are excited to be a part of Joey’s series and to be able to host two event here at North Florida Speedway. I have worked with Rick and Joey with the Coulter Charity 200 Race Weekend for 5 years now and we want to join in this series, but also on October 4th we will make it a Charity Race Night event on Dirt to help the children and families with terminal illnesses that Rick and Joey help each year. I will have the track in smooth, hard shape for them to race so it will not be as hard to adapt these first couple events. They will be able to use the tires they run on, we may just have them do some grooving on them. We will test some tires and do all we can to make this work with out to much cost and make it to complicated, we can do this”. stated Phil Guadagno owner of North Florida Speedway.

” Rick and I really want the series to be a viable stepping stone to future racing for the drivers that have that goal. Dirt experience has helped me and I know it will them, we really feel this makes the series stronger. We also want to add a road course event, it does not look like we can this year but we want to see if we can add in for next season. Phil, Rick and myself will do all we can to make this easy and fun for the drivers, so they can enjoy the experience” added Joey Coulter.

To help with adding dirt races, each driver will be able to drop two of the 15 scheduled races. 1 dirt and 1 asphalt, those will have to be dropped at the next to last event before they go to the season finale 75 lapper.
A rules package will be worked on and given to the drivers for the two dirt races. It will explain what can and can not be done to the trucks for these races. Only some things will be allowed to be done to keep this inexpensive, and not allow full blown dirt trucks to come and run away with things.

Also the series rules, schedule and points fund pay out is now available on line at www.carsevents.com on the right column of links near top. This is in transition while the web site is being worked on. The race purses and info is also on there. A registration form will be up soon.

” Sponsoring the series is becoming more exciting each day, as I see the vision Joey and Rick have for this series and how it can grow and be a vital stepping stone to the racers in Florida. We are proud to be a part of it” stated Donna Fellows, CFO with Fellows Truck Brokers.
