The skies were clear as four classes of cars were at the track ready to rock and roll for an exciting night of racing at the Clay by the Bay.

The Outlaw 4’s Mathew Haynes took the win after a wild final lap.  Shirlene Hammond and Chris Zimmerman were running nose to tail as they came off of turn 4 on the last lap.  Zimmerman and Hammond got together and they both spun right in front of the flag stand.  Haynes took the win which was his 6th of the season.  Travis Staats started 16th and finished 2nd after a strong run.  Jason Russell finished 3rd.  Brittany Yates picked up her first top-5 of the year with a 4th place finish.  Jesse Brown rounded out the top-5.  Billy Howard and Zimmerman won the heats.

In the  Q Auto and Injury Limited Late  Models Forrest Gough led flag to flag to pick up his second feature win of the season.  Gough held off the charge of Tim Powers on multiple restarts.  Powers captured a 2nd place finish.  John Bradley finished 3rd.  Roger Crouse started deep in the field and finished 4th.  Waylan Haynes rounded out the top 5 with a 5th place finish.  Scotty Williams and and Gough won the heat races.

In the Racecar Engineering Late Models Josh Peacock dominated the caution marred event for the win.  The win was Josh Peacock’s 6th win of the season.  David Schmauss finished 2nd.  Philip Cobb ran strong and finished 3rd.  John Koller started 10 and finished 4th.  Ted Erskine started 5th and finished 5th.   Cobb,  Schmauss and Wallace Peacock were victorious in the heats.

In the Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers Roberto Morfin, Sr. started on the pole and led all the way to take the checkered flag for his second win of the year.  Points leader Kever Raulerson appeared to have finished in second place but was DQ’d in post race inspection.  Mathew Odell finished 2nd after starting 9th.  Mike Lacey finished 3rd.   Troy Dittebrand and Brett Calonge rounded out the top-5.  Morfin, Sr.,  Chuck Mathias, and Raulerson won the heats.

Johnnie Alexander won the B  Feature Event.
