With dark skies looming the racing action started with the threat of the rain that many of the fans drove through to arrive at the track.  As the early part of the racing program continued on the blue sky came out and provided us with a great night for racing at East Bay Raceway Park. 

The Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds hit the track first with their 15-lap feature event.  John Bradley used an early pass to take the lead and hold on for the win.  The win was Bradley’s first win of the season in the class.  Roger Crouse ran strong and challenged for the lead but finished 2nd.  Austin Sanders started 3rd and finished 3rd.  Kevin Bryant and Shane Burrows rounded out the top-5.  Bryant was victorious in the heat race.

In the Limited Late Models Forrest Gough dominated the fifteen lap feature event  take his first win of the season.  Gough started started 6th and used an outside power move on JR Prather, Jr. to take the win.  Prather, Jr. finished 2nd.  Tommy Evonosky, Sr. finsished 3rd.  Bob Peterson started 4th and finished 4th.  Jason Pope was the mover of the evening as he started 10th and finished 5th.  Gough and Tim Powers won the heat races.

In the Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel Street Stocks Eric Moon took the win after numerous restarts.  On those restarts Moon had to hold off Donnie Reed and Thomas Pratt.  Moon was a former crew member for Donnie Reed.  Reed finished 2nd.  The points leader coming into the evening Thomas Pratt finished 3rd.  Jarod Gay and Clarence Pratt rounded out the top-5. Moon and Collin Kruse were victorious in the heats.

The Racecar Engineering Late Models were back for a 25 lap main event that saw Brian Bernhardt hold off Travis Varnadore on multiple late restarts to pick up his first feature win of the season.  Varnadore finished 2nd.   Phillip Cobb started 4th and finished 3rd.  Wallace Peacock finished 4th.  John Koller started 10th and finished 5th for his first top 10 of the season.  Berhardt and Ryan Mitchell won the heat races.

The Outlaw 4’s closed out the racing program for the night with their 15 lap feature event.  Like he did in the heat race Matthew Haynes won the feature event leading flag to flag.  Haynes was able to hold off a late charge from Billy Howard to earn the victory.  The win was Haynes’ series leading 5th of the season.  Howard finished 2nd.  Jesse Brown started 3rd and finished 3rd.  Roberto Morfin, Jr. finished 4th which was his first top 10 of the season.  Jessica Robbins rounded out the top-5.  Haynes won the heat race.
