Salem, IN. (August 30, 2016) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will return to action this Sunday on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway as part of the Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival, one of the biggest stock car events held each year in Central Indiana. The weekend will feature exciting racing action from the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modifieds, Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks, Vores Touring Compacts and Thunder Roadsters. Camping will be available all weekend and there will also be the annual Sunday night party in the pavilion featuring live music.

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour drivers will be eager to race, there last event was on August 6th at Spitzer Motor Speedway. The series last two scheduled events on August 13th at Auto City Speedway and August 20th at Columbus Motor Speedway were both canceled because of weather. In a rough season affected by weather, the series has lost four events because of weather cancellations so far this season.   (more…)

Brian Campbell Conquers Extreme Heat and Kalamazoo to get the Win

13895293_10153610786620981_5695891591646634084_n-Copy-718x415Salem, IN (August 11, 2016) – Veteran Michigan racer Brian Campbell overcame the extreme heat on Wednesday night and a tough battle with NASCAR Xfinity Series points leader Erik Jones to grab the win in the Kalamazoo Klash 125 as part of the Kalamazoo Klash XXIV at the famed Kalamazoo Speedway. On a day that saw heat index’s rise to over 105 degrees, the real battle was on the track as Brian Campbell put on a show with Jones to finally take the lead on lap 89 and go on and score his second ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS win of the season and his 20thcareer series victory.

“It felt like a 125 laps of qualifying tonight, we never let up and there was no time to breathe tonight,” said Campbell, in victory lane.  “At the beginning it was just mediocre and then it really started to get fast towards the middle, and I never let up.  I’m telling you, I never took a breath. It was a good clean race and a great battle with Erik, obviously where he is in his career, he’s one of the best!” (more…)

Braden wins Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 at Spitzer Motor Speedway

(August 2, 2016) – 2013 and 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden dominated in leading all 125 laps in winning Saturday night’s Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by JEGS.com at Spitzer Motor Speedway with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. The win didn’t come easy as Braden had to fight off challenges over 10 restarts to secure the win. Braden was the winner of the first Bud St. Amant Memorial event in 2014 at Columbus Motor Speedway and got the win in what was announced as the last Bud St. Amant Memorial Saturday night.

“To come back and win tonight in the last ever Bud St. Amant Memorial really means a lot to me and to be able to honor the whole St. Amant family with this win is awesome,” remarked Braden in victory lane. “My whole team and I have really worked hard to get this car better each time we race and it was great tonight, especially on the long runs. Armstrong Gets Biggest Win of His Career in the 50th Annual Redbud 300

DSC_4844-copy-800x415Salem, IN (July 17, 2016) – Dalton Armstrong put on a commanding performance in scoring his biggest victory to date in winning Saturday nights 50th Annual Redbud 300 Presented by Mitch Smith Auto Service and Perfecto at Anderson Speedway. Armstrong took the lead at the drop of the green flag from his outside front row starting position passing Bubba Pollard to grab an early lead, which he extended at times to almost a straight away until the scheduled Halfway Break at lap 150.

Armstrong then surrendered the lead to former event winner and three time ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Champion Johnny Van Doorn at the start of the second half, Van Doorn only changed two tires at the break, versus Armstrong’s three to get the better starting position, but Armstrong was able to make an outside pass again on a restart to grab the lead for good on lap 185, again building a big lead, but then had to fight off challengers on two late restarts with five laps to go before getting the win.

“This is just a huge win for me and Scott Neal Racing,” commented Armstrong in Victory Lane. “What makes this so special is this is my home track, I got the win in front of a ton of family and friends and now we all get to celebrate! I have to thank my family for their support as well as Scott Neal and the whole team for all their hard work, winning the Redbud is big for me and my whole team!” (more…)

Campbell Wins Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 at Columbus Motor Speedway

13524566_10153515423395981_6116167815700078621_n-800x415Salem, IN (June 26, 2016) – For the second consecutive year Wyoming, Michigan veteran racer Brian Campbell won the Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop and Sizzle Marine, Saturday night at Columbus Motor Speedway with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. The event honored local racing legend Bud St. Amant, who passed away in January, 2014 after a long bout with cancer. A large group of Bud’s family was on hand for the event, including son Gary St. Amant who presented Campbell with his winning trophy.

The JVM Racing promoted event was the last ARCA/CRA Super Series event that will be held at Columbus Motor Speedway, as the track has been sold and will close at the end of the 2016 season. The great group of fans attending the event got to watch a great race with plenty of passing throughout the field.

Three time series Champion Johnny Van Doorn started things off by setting fast time in EDCO Welding Qualifying. Van Doorn drew a seven for the invert putting series rookies Chris Koslek and Dalton Armstrong on the front row. Koslek took the early lead from his pole starting position and led the first eight laps before 2013 and 2014 series Champion Travis Braden powered by to take the lead from Koslek on lap nine while series points leader Cody Coughlin, Van Doorn and Campbell worked their way to the front of the field behind Braden and Koslek. Coughlin Wins Jay C Food Stores 100 at Salem Speedway

(June 19, 2016) – Cody Coughlin last visited the famous High Banks of Salem Speedway back in 2013 when he came away with his first ever CRA win on his way to claiming the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Championship, Coughlin came away with the same results in his second visit, getting the win in the Jay C Food Stores 100 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event Saturday night at Salem Speedway.

“This is really cool to come back here three years later and get back to victory lane,” remarked Coughlin. “We had a fast car all day, I knew starting tenth I just needed to be patient and work my way to the front and that’s what we did. I want to thank my whole team for another great effort tonight, especially my crew chief Jack Smith, it was a lot of fun racing with him tonight.” (more…)

ARCA/CRA Super Series Releases Entry Form for the Redbud 300

redbud300logoSalem, IN (June 17, 2016) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS has released the entry form for the prestigious Redbud 300 event that will take place at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, July 16th. The ARCA/CRA Super Series is celebrating its 20th season of competition in 2016, Anderson Speedway is where the series had its first ever event on Saturday, April 26, 1997. The Redbud 300 will be the 60th series event that Anderson Speedway has hosted since that Saturday in 1997, the most of any track the series has raced at.

The Redbud 300 will be 300 laps counting yellows, with a 10 minute break at lap 150 for teams to refuel, take tires and make adjustments. Teams will reline up for the second half of the race by how many tires they take at the break. The Redbud 300 pays $10,000 to win. (more…)

High Banks of Salem Speedway up Next for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour

(June 15, 2016) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will head to the famed High Banks of Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery, located in Salem, Indiana for this Saturday’s Jay C Food Stores 100 Presented by JEGS.com. This will be the third visit to Salem for the series, last years scheduled event was canceled because of flooding at the track and could not be rescheduled. Cody Coughlin won the series inaugural event at Salem Speedway in 2013, on his way to claiming the series Championship that season, while Grant Quinlan won a thrilling late race shootout with Garrett Jones and Chuck Barnes Jr. in 2014.

Coughlin is the series point’s leader heading into Saturday night’s race and is entered to try and return to victory lane at Salem, Coughlin is also the point’s leader with the ARCA/CRA Super Series with three straight point wins. 2013 and 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden is entered, he is currently second in series points, he has not raced at Salem Speedway before, but has been to victory lane at Winchester Speedway. Pollard Wins Berlin 100 Presented by Great Clips at Berlin Raceway

DSC_2757-copy-800x415Salem, IN (June 12, 2016) – Senoia, Georgia’s Bubba Pollard made his trip north to Berlin Raceway a successful venture Saturday night by winning the Berlin 100 Presented by Great Clips JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance event and it’s $5000 first place prize, part of the Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics Weekend.

“I just love this place,” remarked Pollard in victory lane. “It was a good clean race, with a very talented field. I got more laps and some good notes that we hope will help us for Monday’s race.”

Saturday’s race was a preliminary event for the $15,000 to win Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics ARCA/CRA Super Series event at Berlin Raceway on Monday night, the event brought several top late model drivers who are doing double duty racing in both events, plus the best of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and several top regulars from Berlin Raceway’s late model division. JEGS Challenge 30 added to JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Battle at Berlin 251 Event

The JEGS Challenge 30 will give an opportunity for the 10 plus racers who don’t qualify for the Berlin 100 Presented by Great Clips and JEGS.com on Saturday, to race in a 30 lap feature and earn some extra money, with the event paying $1000 to win and $200 to start.

“We have a great car count for this Saturday’s Berlin 100 and we just didn’t want to send a bunch of cars home without the opportunity to race in a feature event,” remarked Mike Bursley with Berlin Raceway. “We appreciate all the series and local teams that want to race in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour portion of the Battle at Berlin 251 Weekend, this will give them the opportunity to race in a feature event for some additional prize money.”  (more…)
