Bronson-winner-3-8-14Tampa, FL  – It was week number two for the start of the 2014 Season at East Bay Raceway Park as the Late Models, Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds, Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks, Outlaw Fours and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers were all on hand to find out who would end up in Victory Lane.

First up were the Outlaw Fours as Raymond Rogers, Jr. and Zach Amundsen won their heat races early on. For the feature it was Thomas Braswell and Nick Hebrank on the front row for the 15 lap feature event. When the green waved it was Hebrank quickly taking the lead until the first caution would come out on lap ten as Don T. Quinn spun in turn four. Leading the way was Hebrank with Brandon Yates and Amundsen to follow. When the green waved once again it was Hebrank leading the way until lap thirteen as he and Yates were side by side at the line. On the very next lap it was Quinn spinning once again in four and came to rest. Raymond Rogers, Jr. with nowhere to go collided into Quinn ending both of their nights. When the final green waved it was Hebrank picking up the first win for the Outlaw Fours. Rounding out the top five were Amundsen, Yates, Braswell and Don R. Quinn.
Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds were next with Austin Sander picking up the heat win as Nate Bregenzer and Buzzie Reutimann making up the front row for the feature. When the green waved Reutimann took over the lead with Bregenzer right behind him and on the first lap. It was Reutimann having just a half a car length advantage over Bregenzer at the start/finish line on the very next lap. The first caution would come out on lap two as Travis Varnadore had spun over in turn four. Reutimann would lead the way once again as he and Sanders battled on lap six and the two were side by side at the line. But it was on lap eight as Sanders and Reutimann got together with Sanders spinning out and came to rest in four. Only two more cautions would come out as Reutimann went on to win the Gagel’s Open Wheel Modified 15 lap Feature. Rounding out the top five were Travis Varnadore, Bregenzer, Sanders and Tim Gay.
Next were the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks. Winning their heats early on were Buck Woodhouse and Thomas Burnside. Matt Bozeman and Jeff Rodgers would make up the front row for the feature and when the green waved it was Rodgers over Bozeman by mere inches at the line with Rodgers leading. On lap three it was Burnside and Rodgers battling for position and the two got together in turn four with both of them spinning out. On three restart it was now David Barwick, II leading with Buck Woodhouse, Justan Rodgers, Billy Barstow and William Burnside the top five. It was several more cautions throughout the race until the time limit would expire with Thomas Burnside picking up the win with Buck Woodhouse, David Barwick, II, Jeff Rodgers and Justan Rodgers rounding out the top five.
The 25 Lap Feature for the Late Models was next as Keith Nosbisch, Kyle Bronson and Josh Peacock winning their heats early on. For the feature it was Keith Nosbisch and Kyle Bronson starting on the front row. Just before the first lap could be completed it was four cars getting tangled up with Kyle Musselman ending on the front nose piece of Jamie Slatton at the exit of turn four. All cars were able to continue for a complete restart. On the restart it was Nosbisch taking the lead with Josh Peacock and Kyle Bronson trailing behind. It was on lap seven when a caution would come out as Dalton Myers spun in turn two with Nosbisch still in the lead as Bronson had moved up to second with Peacock now third. Caution would come out once again on lap fourteen as David Pollen, Jr. slowed and would exit the track ending his night. On the restart Bronson was right on the back bumper of Nosbisch as the two went into turn two with Nosbisch sliding into the backstretch wall. Nosbisch had appeared to have broken and then would exit the track ending his night. On the final restart Bronson led the field for the final ten laps and going on to win the feature. Bronson thanked his crew and the Hammond’s for letting him drive their cars. Rounding out the top five were Jack Nosbisch, Jr., Bryan Bernhardt, David Schmauss and Kyle Mussleman.
The final feature of the night went to the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers with Wayne Kissam and Patrick Fiore, Sr. winning their heats early on. Terry Cannon and Traci Humfeld would make up the front row for the 15 Lap Feature event. Stephen Morris would lead the first three laps until Patrick Fiore, Sr. would take over the lead on lap four. On lap seven a wheel came off of Terry Cannon’s car ending his night. On lap seven’s restart it was Fiore, Sr. leading the way with Wayne Kissam and George Handy following close behind. On lap nine it was Kissam with a right front flat and the leader Fiore, Sr. slowing down which gave George Handy the lead and went on to win the feature. Rounding out the top five was Stephen Morris, Richard Humfeld, Jimmy Williams and Kayla Jones.
