Pratt wins Third Annual “Scott Thompson Memorial Race” at East Bay

Tampa, FL -May 10, 2008- Rich Pratt became the 84th different winner in National Late Model Series competition, over the fourteen year history of the series, as he took the checkers in the prestigious third annual Airgas “Scott Thompson Memorial Race” at East Bay Raceway Park Saturday night. The win earned Pratt $3,000 plus $800 in bonus money for leading lap 38. The significance of lap 38 being it was the car number of the Late Model Thompson raced.

WHEATLAND, Mo. -May 9, 2008- Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN led a star-studded field of 80 entries on Friday Night as he set fast time at the Second Annual SuperClean Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway. Bloomquist spun a number one on the wheel which means the fastest qualifiers in each of the six heat races will start from the pole. Rookie Joey Logano Conquers Rockingham In Career-First ARCA RE/MAX Series Attempt

ROCKINGHAM, NC - May 4, 2008 - Most say that Rockingham Speedway is one of the toughest, most challenging tracks on anyone’s tour. However, someone forgot to tell ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Joey Logano, who made his victory in Sunday’s Carolina 500 look simple.
Logano, in the no. 25 Venturini Motorsports-prepared Joe Gibbs Racing Oil-Gresham & Associates Chevrolet, led 257 of 312 laps to conquer the “Rock” in his career-first ARCA RE/MAX Series start. Logano also earned the Aaron’s Lap Leader award for leading the most laps.

RICHMOND, Va. -May 1, 2008- Jason Covert of York Haven, PA had stated that he felt he had left something on the track during the April 11th World of Outlaws Late Model race at Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA. This time, Covert left nothing on the table in dominating the 40 lap Super Late Model feature of the Paul Sawyer Memorial.  Gibsonton, Fl. - Coming off a successful road trip to East Alabama Motor Speedway the “Homes of Merit” United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series rolled onto the famed “Clay by the Bay” Eastbay Raceway Park to finish what they started April 5th before Mother Nature unleashed a torrential rainstorm.

EASTABOGA, Ala. -April 26, 2008- After a pair of rain delays threatened to wash out yet another O'Reilly Southern All Star sanctioned event, Mother Nature finally granted enough of a window to complete the O'Reilly Auto Parts Cup Weekend Special at Talladega Short Track. Wendell Wallace of Batesville, AR was able to slip into the lead on the final lap while race long leader Tony Knowles was marred in heavy lap traffic. The win was worth $5000 to the GRT House Car pilot.
