This section of Florida Stock Car Racing is where we remember. Or perhaps, like myself, it's a process of discovery. I truly began to have an  inkling of the history of Florida stock car racing in 1998, as the longevity of the Governor's Cup was revealed to me. By the time the Snowball Derby was upon us in December, I had become both immersed in, and  fascinated by, the history of this great sport. As more and more people sent me letters with their special memories, the fascination began to turn into insights into what racing really means to those who have lived it.  Many fans today in Florida are discovering this rich past. So whether you come to this part of Florida Stock Car Racing to remember, discover, or just to explore through this wonderful medium of the Internet, please  take time to relax, and enjoy. An old photograph of a time gone by is alive, and is itself timeless, freezing forever a memory, a place in time that lives forever, to be enjoyed again and again. If you take the  time.
