Ryan Crane Wins Final Event at 5 Flags Before Snowball | Ryan Crane Wins Final Pro Late Model Race at
Five Flags before Derby Weekend
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tex Motorsports Marketing Panama City, FL 10/13/08- As if it wasn’t enough to go out and win the 2008 Blizzard series finale just a few weeks ago at the Five Flags Speedway, Ryan Crane piloted his #10 Honda of Panama Ford Fusion pro late model to another win at the track’s final event prior to this year’s 41st Annual Snowball Derby weekend. Crane took the lead on lap thirty-one of the 100 lap event and never looked back cruising to his second win of the year at the famed ½ mile track.
“It feels good to be able to win in back to back races. We’ve ran here but what everyone doesn’t know is that it was with two different cars, first with our super and now with our pro so that has me really excited for the Derby. This was the same car I won the Snowflake with last year and you can bet that as good as it has been here I’ll be bringing it back in December,” stated Crane in victory lane.
Ryan only managed a lap that was good enough for tenth quickest during the day’s qualifying session, but it didn’t faze him a bit as he showed why having a good “race” car at Pensacola is the key to success.
“You’ve got to have a good car that stays consistent on the longer runs and you don’t have to fight the car in the turns so you can manage your tires to get the most out of them. That’s what we’ve been focusing on and it’s really paid off over the last two races here. We have to just hope that when we come back for the Derby we have two cars that are as capable of winning as we did over the last couple of weeks here,” added Crane, the defending winner of the Snowflake 100.
Next up for the Ryan Crane Racing team will be the legendary All-American 400 at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN. The event kicks off Thursday October 30th with practice and concludes on Saturday November 1st with racing to start at 1pm.
