Attention All Car Clubs and Members

A Car Show of epic proportions is in the beginning stages in beautiful S.W. Florida at one of the most recognized racing locations in the area. The Desoto Super Speedway in Bradenton FL, in conjunction with AutomotiveDirect is putting together an actual record seeking Guinness Book Of Records super sized car show event that will encompass nearly 200 available acres for over 15,500 registered show cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Plenty of room is available for safe and secure trailer and tow vehicle parking, vendors-car coral and swap meet space, general parking, live music and comedy entertainment, kids corner for the children with games and rides and last but not least, incredible oval and drag racing events all packed into one fantastic weekend on February 9th and 10th 2008.

There are over 12,000 hotel-motel rooms available within a 15-60 min drive of the show location at the track. Sarasota/Bradenton Airport is just 25 minutes away and the Tampa Airport is just about 50 minutes away from the track. RV and camper parking is plentiful within 5-30 minutes away with over 2,000 sites available.

For the ladies who have had enough of cars (although I don't know how they could), the Prime Outlets of Ellenton is just 15 minutes away. Rated as one of the top 25 outlet shopping centers in the United States, you're sure to find everything you could possibly want. The mall includes Coach Factory, Banana Republic Factory Store, Gap Outlet, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Michael Kors, Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, Bath and Body Works, J. Crew, Perry Ellis Company Store, adidas, Starbucks Coffee and so much more. We are also located just 20 minutes away from some of the most beautiful blue water in the south. It's perfect timing for all of you who live up north and are freezing at this time of year.

There will also be plenty of great food and beverages available on site throughout the weekend but there are so many great restaurants and fast food locations nearby, we couldn't possibly name them all. Although many of the local businesses and restaurants will be honoring the car show wrist band as an automatic discount off your meals and other purchases.

Bradenton FL is just immediately north of Sarasota FL and just south of St. Petersburg/Clearwater and Tampa FL. With miles of perfect beaches, the beautiful blue Gulf waters, and an incredible amount of attractions and activities nearby like St. Armands Circle, Ringling Bros Museum, Anna Marie Island, Clearwater Beach, Busch Gardens, The Mote Museum, fishing, golf, warm and sunny weather and all within about a hours drive or less of the race track, this could easily become a week long vacation along with this car show.

Here are the show particulars:

Pre Registration Fee $45 (includes car and two people) for the weekend

Registration at the door $55 (includes car and two people) for the weekend

Registration Sunday Only $30 (includes car and two people)

Registration includes a beautiful Certified Registered Plaque with your Name, show registration number, your cars VIN number with year make and model of your show car, truck or bike honoring your part of the "Largest Car Show in American History" to be documented by Guinness Book of World Records. Pictures of your show vehicle under the Guinness Book of Records Sign will be available.

Pre-Registration for this event is highly recommended.

Club Parking, is available on first come first served basis and is likely to go quickly so please call ahead for these locations.

We accept all years, makes and models of cars, trucks and even bikes. Customs, Hot Rods, Antiques, Classics, and restorations in progress in primer are all accepted WE WILL NOT ACCEPT JUNK, PLAIN JANES OR RUST BUCKETS! AN AVERAGE CAR WITH CHROME WHEELS AND TWO TONE PAINT DOES NOT CUT IT! Please use your common sense in this area. Registration attendants have the authority to refuse any vehicle that does not meet these requirements. If you're not sure if your vehicle fits these requirements, pictures of questionable vehicles should be sent to marketing@desotosuperspeedway.com with subject line: Questionable cars.

General Admission $15 per adult $5 children 7-12 yrs old (6 yrs old and under FREE)

Although we can't say who, but don't be surprised if you see a couple of famous celebs showing their own IRON at this spectacular gathering.

This event is sure to be the car show that sets the standard for all car shows across the nation. You'll definitely want to be part of this historic and documented event.

1st , 2nd, and 3rd, place Plaques and Trophies will be awarded in several categories.

We are sure to draw tens of thousands of spectators to the show so here are some of the limitations we must ask for the safety of everyone.

1) No Golf carts will be allowed in the show area. Only event staff, event transportation and event security will be allowed golf carts.

2) Pets will be allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times and must be cleaned up after with no exceptions.

3) No firearms, fireworks or any weapons of any kind are allowed. Drugs are strictly forbidden from the premises.

4) Families will have their children with them so we ask that foul language is kept contained and common courtesy is used.

We want this to be an unforgettable experience for everyone. If we work together this will surely be the end result and will offer wonderful memories to all who attend.

You and your show vehicle will go down in the history books. We look forward to putting on a great show.

If anyone has special needs, please contact MJ Kane, Marketing & Promotions for the Desoto Super Speedway at 941-748-3171 or email your questions to marketing@desotosuperspeedway.com . I hope you all can attend this wonderful event we are planning. Please pass the word on to everyone you know.
