East Bay Gears Up For Hot Fall Action | By Whit Holley
Tampa, Florida (Oct 17 2007) As race tracks all across the country are closing down and locking their gates for the winter, East Bay Raceway Park is gearing up for several exiting events.
On Oct 27 the 1/3 mile clay oval will host a 40 lap $2000 to win Late Model race. The track has consistently been drawing over 30 cars for the regular Saturday nite program. There is no doubt more will show up to try and claim the top prize. We also expect several “Crate Motor” Late Models to use this race as a tune-up for their 2 nite World Championship run coming up in Dec. More info on that coming up soon…
Filling out the Saturday nite action packed program will be the Limited Late Models, Limited Sprints, the Outlaw 4 Class and the Convire Auto Catalytic Recycling 4cyl Bombers. --Advertisement-- David Schmauss leads the point race in the chase for the Late Model Championship with a 55 point lead over Jack Nosbisch Jr. Consistency has paid off for Schmauss so far with 1 feature win 8 top 5s and 13 top 10 finishes in the Green Team #105 racer. Ryan Mitchell, K D Kelley and Josh Peacock along with a host of others from all over the state and the southeast are expected to join the East Bay Raceway Park regulars.
East Bay Raceway Park is known nationwide for its tight racing and well groomed track surface as well as the yearly Winternationals in Jan. and Feb.
