Pierce settles for Eighth Place at Columbia Motorsports Park | C.A.R.S. Motorsports & Racer Marketing Orlando FL. 5-12-2007 - Orlando Florida driver Chad Pierce would once again be behind the wheel of Rick Bristol's #30 Toyota Tundra for a Fascar Advance Auto Parts Pro Truck event. The team worked hard to try to over come a loose truck in practice. The #30 would blister a right rear tire in practice, so the team had to make some more adjustments before qualifying. Pierce would qualify in the twelfth position to begin the 50 Lap main event. After an autograph session, in front of a good crowd considering the brush fires all around the area, and a bunch of prizes given away courtesy of Toyota Industrial Equipment and Starlift Parts. The race would take to the speedway. On the start things would settle into a rhythm, with Pierce trying to move his way up through the field. He was able to avoid a couple close calls early and then make a few passes late in the event to settle into the eight spot at the checkers. " The truck was real loose early today, we blistered a tire and had to make some changes. The guys worked real hard and we tried to get it better. It was coming around there late in the race, we just ran out of laps. I want to thank Rick for letting me have so much fun driving this truck. Thanks to Eric Reynold's and Mark Geisler for their hard work today and for getting the truck ready for each race. We couldn't do it without Toyota Industrial Equipment, Florida Lift Systems, Southern States Toyota Lift and Battery USA, they really support Rick and the C.A.R.S. Motorsports team" stated Pierce. " Chad did a great job out there, we just did not give him a great truck tonight and he was the reason this thing is in one piece and got a good finish. I could not ask for a better driver, and am so glad to have him behind the wheel of my truck. I do not worry about the truck being trashed, and he gets us a good finish each time out. If we could just get him a better truck he could show his real talents. I too want to thank Toyota Industrial Equipment and Florida Lift Systems who support us and allow us to go racing in the series. We will continue to work hard to get this truck to victory lane this season" said Bristol. The team will now look at it's options to run USA International Speedway in Lakeland FL. June 2nd. If they do not run there they will be in action June 22nd at the Orlando Speedworld the home track for Pierce and Bristol. Then they plan to run the big 75 Lap event July 4th at the New Smyrna Speedway. For more information on the C.A.R.S.
