| Star Racing to tackle ASA in Cordele, Ga. | C.A.R.S. Motorsports & Racer Marketing
Orlando FL. 5-1-2007 - Young Gun Patrick Staropoli a graduate of the trucks will debut his new ASA Late Model this coming weekend at the Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele GA. Staropoli began his career in the go-karts at age 12 then drove in the pure stock division at the now closed Hialeah Speedway at age 14.
Staropoli competed first in the Fast Kids Truck series, then moved up to the Pros. The last two years he has competed in the Fascar Pro Truck series. He garnered 8 wins including a win on the final night of racing at the Hialeah Speedway and the prestigious " State Championship 100" at the New Smyrna Speedway.
" I have to really thank my dad for the hard work and sacrifice to keep me racing over the years. He does a great job and we have developed great communication on what to do to the race car to improve it each race. I also want to thank Joe and Vinnie Renali and Anthony Sandora for all the hard work to get this new car ready. I know it is right and I can have confidence in it every time I get in it" stated Patrick.
The team felt it was time to take the experience gained over the last few years and step up to the late models and ASA. Patrick has improved tremendously in a relatively short period of time and should be a strong contender in the ASA South Series.
" We know the ASA series is a big step for us, but we are ready for the new challenge. Patrick is looking forward to Cordele this weekend, it will be a good test for how well the car works and a great opportunity to gain some track time and experience. I know he will do a great job!" stated father Nick Staropoli.
The #97 Star Racing Chevrolet is un sponsored at present time, but with some strong performances they hope to attract sponsors to run more races in 2007. This is a great young talent and should be a contender fairly quickly in the ASA South series.
