The Blizzard Series is Snowballing - Race this Weekend at Five Flags

The Blizzard Series evolved from the demand by Super Late Model drivers and car owners who wanted a tune-up prior to entering the annual Snowball Derby in December.

The Blizzard Series is in its 4th year, an innovation developed by Bryant Motorsports, LLC, whose family operated business has transformed from Leasees to Speedway Owners recently.

The Blizzard Races award drivers an opportunity to match their car to the demands of the banked half-mile oval at Pensacola, prior to the Snowball. Five SLM races are scattered through out the racing season to afford teams a sample of what’s in store at the Snowball Derby.

The Blizzard races are 100 laps, with points awarded towards a series championship after the fifth meeting in the fall. Dave Mader III who is a previous Snowball Derby winner, won the 2006 Blizzard Title and took home the Money, the Champion's Jacket and a priceless provisional for the 39th Annual Snowball Derby Champion's Jacket.

The Blizzard Series is best described as a series of five mini Snowball Derby races. The dates for the 2007 Blizzard events appears on our regular schedule at 5FlagsSpeedway.com, and is a must for a team working to enter the Snowball.

The Series has grown in popularity over the last couple years and we feel privileged to have the caliber of drivers we have participating.
