HUNTSVILLE, AL— The O’Reilly Supertrucks event that was set for April 21st at the Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC., has been postponed and will be made up at a later date due to scheduling conflicts with the speedway.
“We were hoping that Anderson would be our first event for the 2007 season and with the response that we were already getting from the drivers from last year and drivers that are coming back an planning on running with the series it was going to be a big turnout of truck, but we understand the situation at Anderson and will work with the Porter’s on getting the event rescheduled at a later date” said O’Reilly Supertruck President Ben Atkinson.
“We are looking at a couple of tracks to host and event in May and we should have that together soon, as we are working on getting together a good schedule for the series and also working with tracks to host the events so that they can come out good on the deal.” Atkinson said.
The series will also be returning to another track that has not been on the scheduled in a while and that is the Senoia Speedway in Senoia, GA., another 3/8ths mile high banked facility south of the Atlanta area. The series has set three events at this facility along with one show as a combination event with the USCS Sprint cars.
Other tracks that are returning to the schedule in 2007 include Huntsville Speedway in Huntsville, AL., and Lanier National Speedway in Gainesville, GA.., Birmingham Int’l Raceway in Birmingham, AL., and Mobile Speedway in Mobile, AL., and Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL.
