Justin Larson Is Ready For Bronson | Justin Larson Is Ready To Continue His ‘Good Year’ at Bronson Young Driver Looks to Get First Win of Season in Goodyear Challenge Series SAFETY HARBOR, FL (March 31, 2007) – 2007 has been a pretty “good year” so far for Justin Larson behind the wheel of his Skinner Nurseries #88 Late Model in the Goodyear Challenge Series and other Late Model events throughout Florida. In February, he had an impressive Speedweeks and ever since then his car has been fast and contending for the win week in and week out, finishing fourth in his last event at New Smyrna Speedway. Now, as heads into his next event at Bronson Motor Speedway (FL), Larson has a chance to turn his “good year” into a great year.
“I am excited to be heading to Bronson,” said Larson. “We are going to be running our older car which got pretty tore up at Lakeland earlier this year. We are getting it all put back together and are planning on getting some testing done before the race at Bronson.”
In the past, Bronson has been a track where Larson has ran well on. In June of 2006, he came up just short of the win there finishing second, and he looks forward to heading back to the track, this time with the intentions of claiming the win.
“I have run pretty good there the two times that I went there with the Limited Late Model during the 2006 season. I am really looking forward to the racing there again and coming home with the top spot. It is a pretty fun track to run at. It is really a driver’s kind of race track. It’s not all about the horsepower, it’s about car handling and really driving the car.”
Larson’s racing team has two cars in their stable that both are capable of winning; the car that was damaged earlier in the season at Lakeland, and a newer Late Model. This weekend however, Larson is going to go back to something a little more familiar to try and contend for his first win of the season.
“Both of the two cars that we have are about the same,” said Larson. “The newer one seems to be a little bit better but we have ran the older one more this year. We ran it at Speedweeks, and it has a lot more time and testing put into it so we are going to take it to Bronson.
“I am really hoping that we will be up front this time,” added Larson. “We have been close so many times, it just hasn’t really fallen my way yet. But I really think that we are going to get us a couple of wins here. Hopefully it will happen pretty soon.”
The Goodyear Challenge event will get underway next Saturday April 7th at Bronson Motor Speedway.
