LAKELAND, FLORIDA – Chris Fontaine of Lakeland, FL is ready to compete in the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division (ASALMS) Boggy Creek 100 on the quick .333 mile high-banked paved oval at Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway on Saturday night scheduled for an 8:45 p.m. start.
Fontaine will drive the FLF Race Cars Chevrolet and has two top-five finishes on the Bronson power plant while driving a super late model. This is the first event of 12 in 2007 for the ASALMS Southern Division. Jay Middleton of Lake City, FL is the defending race champion.

The cars and stars of the ASALMS Southern Division will open their season for the second time in a row at Bronson Motor Speedway. This race is presented by Pennzoil.
ASALMS Southern Division qualifying will begin at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Northern driver Ryan Carlson posted a Bronson Motor Speedway track record time of 13.285 seconds in a late model last season. The Top 22 cars will be locked into the 100-lap feature through qualifying, while the next two positions will come from the 2006 ASALMS Southern Division owner points. Positions 25-26 will be reserved for Past Champions of the ASALMS, if those aren’t needed, then the next two in qualifying will round out the 26-car field.
The remainder of the field, who unfortunately do not make it into the main event of the evening will then run the series first ever 25-lap GM Performance Parts Shootout slated for a 7:40 p.m. start.
Bronson Motor Speedway is located 15 miles Southwest of Gainesville, three miles East of Bronson on State Road 24. Coming from Ocala, Florida and south: Take Route 27 to Bronson, turn right at only light in Bronson (State Road 24) , three miles and track is on right.
