FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 10, AT COLUMBIA MOTORSPORTS PARK | FASCAR MEDIA
Welcome to the 2007 Columbia Motorsports Park race season.
Yes, you read that right, the season opens this Saturday night, March 10, with Columbia's Fan Appreciation Night. That means FANS - YOU WILL BE TREATED TO SOME OF THE BEST SHORT TRACK RACING IN THE SOUTH. Saturday night's action will include the Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman, Pure Stock, Hornets and Welter Weights. Something for even the hardest to please race fan.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m.
Also fans will get to greet the new Promoter at Columbia Motorsports Park, Tim Lake. Wayne Handyside has stepped down but will not be far off as Wayne will be the new Race Director each Saturday night. "I have enjoyed working at Columbia and there is not a greater group of racers," said Handyside. "I will still be around just not like I was and I expect to see many new faces in 2007."
Tim Lake is also very familiar to Columbia fans and drivers and is very excited about his new duties. Tim welcomes all suggestions and hopes that he can make 2007 a very great time for everyone.
"I have always loved racing and have enjoyed working with Wayne at Columbia," said Lake. "I am new at this but I promise to do my best for all our fans and drivers. I think we can make this a great year for Columbia and I am open to new ideas any time."
