USA Sprints invade Charlotte County Motorsports Park | by R C Roper
The USA Sprints South Florida's only Dirt Sprintcar Racing Organization make thier return to the pavement at Charlotte County Motorsports Park this Saturday Night March 3rd @ 6:00 pm. CCMP will be considered the "home track" for the Series and 15 races are currently scheduled for 2007. For anyone that has never seen these Alcohol Burning, Ground pounding, "Winged Warriors" this is something that you do not want to miss because dirt cars on pavement are "wild and wooley". They are fast and loose sliding all over the place desperately seeking grip.
The USA Sprints have racers who have Won hundreds of Races and Dozens of Championships.The USA Sprints are a Nationally recognized All-Star Series that has Many National Companies supporting the Organization from its inception. Some of the Top drivers and Teams in the State of Flordia are expected to compete for the coveted USA Sprints Southern Thunder Tour Championship in 2007.
Three time TBARA Champion Taylor Andrews is making his comeback to CCMP and hopes to make a run for the USA Sprints Title. Scotty Adema #67 the Fort Myers Flash will certainly be one of the top "speedsters" to watch closely as will former USA Champs Tim George # 1*, Andy Kelly # 11 and Shane Kriedler # 52. East Bay Raceway standout Greg "The Jet" Leonard # 85 will be on hand to have a say about all of this as will RC Roper # V8 and his Team "Victory is Jesus" driver # J1 Mike "Wingman" Tharp.
One of the top northern Florida chauffers Dennis "D-Man Misuraca # 3d in the Sparkle Brite Pools Schnee and Lakeland Florida's own Brian Gringass in his 4x Steath will be up front. Gringass brings a wealth of Race Wins and Championships to his credit and will be viaing for the Top Rookie of the Year as well. SW Ranches Florida brings in Mike "Hollywood" Schroeder # 6 along with David "Skeeter" Kelly #12 who is always a front runner and fan favorite Danny "The Dude" Jones #99 from Tampa driving Mike Woolsey's Maxim chassis.
The Charlotte County Motorsports Park in Punta Gorda which is only 20 miles north of Fort Myers on I-75 North at Jones Loop Road.
