Hi everybody.
I just got the results back from Dr. Staba a couple of days ago. Sorry I didn't write immediately. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. She said the repeat MRI showed no progression of the disease. This is wonderful news. She said the highest chances for advancement were in the first few months immediately following the transplant when he had NO immune system to fight with. She also said, it wasn't something the radiologist would consider noteworthy, but there was a very faint, slight improvement. Nothing to go crazy about but she saw an improvement. Our God is great! We still have an extremely long road ahead. He gets another MRI May2nd then Aug2nd. These are 6,9,and 12 months post transplant. They did a repeat long chain fatty acid test too Monday. It will take 2-3 weeks for those results. This will tell us if the new cells are breaking down the fats in his blood properly, the fats that were destroying his brain. We have a chance to breathe. We still won't really know for aver a year for sure. Even though this is wonderful news, I ask you all to be on your guard. Please continue to be prayers warriors for us. Just as my God has seen fit to bless us with this news, so too did it anger the devil. It is just a matter of time before he tries to bring on a retaliation attack. This time we are ready. Our faith is stronger and our love for the Lord is deeper. The best plan of defense is prayer. I know you guys may think I'm crazy, but I promise I'm not. I have seen God's miracles first hand. I have also seen the devil's attacks first hand. This is an ongoing fight. My relief is in knowing God is on our side. He has not left our sides and he has not once broken a promise and I know he never will. Thank you everyone and thank you Lord.
