An action packed weekend is in store for fans of Putnam County Speedway in Satsuma, Florida as the speedway hosts the Madd Mod 75, $3000 to win event sponsored by Daytona CV Axle. A 3/8 mile, banked clay oval located in rural Putnam County, the speedway has been rejuvenated this year under new ownership.
The speedway just came off a hugely successful Halloween Hobby 100 and Late Model Twin 50 Lap feature event this past weekend with a total car count in excess of 100 and racing in regular divisions in addition to the special shows.
Growing car counts and special shows scheduled throughout the year at an unbeatable price have been thrilling die hard fans with three and sometimes four wide racing on an awesome grooved racing surface.
Friday night’s events kick off the weekend as the open-wheeled modifieds qualify and run heat races. Late models and Street stocks also have feature events on Friday night. Some of the modified top guns pre-entered include Jason Lowe, Jeff Matthews, Roger Crouse, Jamie Burrows, and P. J. Wiggins. Grandstands open at 5pm with racing at 8pm. Grandstand general admission is $8.00 and pit entrance is $25.00.
Saturday night’s events feature the Madd Mod 75, with consolation races for those that don’t qualify for the main event. Saturday’s show also includes features in the Hobby stock, Mini stock, and Box stock divisions. Grandstands open at 5pm with racing at 7pm. Grandstand general admission is $10.00 and pit entrance is $25.00.
Putnam’s burgers are legendary so come hungry as the speedway features some of the best concession food around at reasonable prices, and a Kid’s Shack, with items to delight kids of all ages.
