| Updates for Hopklns 200 Lap Truck Race | The Hopkins Family Truckers 200 set for December 8th & 9th, 2006 is taking shape. I want to remind drivers the pre-entires are due by November 1st. They are $125.00 ,after the 1st they will be $150.00.
The order I receive the pre-entries will determine duplicate numbers and the order you enter pits on the 8th to park. Two day pit passes are on sale now as well they are $45.00 and save you $5.00 if bought by December 1st. You simply call 407-497-0448 or 407-282-4705 for ticket orders and procedures.
So far we have sold 169 laps at $10.00 each, the halfway leader award is now $250.00 counting award and lap sponsors. When we sell the remaining 31 laps we will have $2,150.00 in lap money ! We are in hopes that the drivers will donate back most of the award and bonus monies to help us make this a great event to help little Tommy and his Family.
We did do away with the live two tire pit stop due to safety concerns, we will have a half way break. Two tires, fuel, windshield, driver fluids and air pressure adjustment are only approved changes. Anything else will send you to the rear of the longest line.
If you are planning to run please get your tires early, we will have some there but being late season I am sure the selection will be slim. You can run either series tire, can not mix sets.
