Gosselin and New Sponsor Looking Forward to Talladega | Gosselin and New Sponsor “It’s Mighty EZY Cleaner & Degreaser” are hoping to keep it clean at Talladega
Mario Gosselin, with new sponsor “It’s Mighty EZY”, is on a roll heading into this weekend’s “FOOD WORLD 250” at Talladega Superspeedway. He has been riding high ever since his come from behind win at Nashville Superspeedway just a few weeks ago.
Just this past week, Mario was quickest driver on the track at the 2.66 mile Talladega superspeedway according to ARCA’s unofficial test results.
This past Monday, Mario and several other drivers attended the ARCA test session at the newly repaved track. The test session was actually Mario’s first opportunity to drive on the racetrack, but you couldn’t tell by his lap times. He was fast from the start and had a big smile on his face at the end of the day.
Others who joined him for the test included Nascar Cup development drivers, Steven Wallace, Peter Sheppard, Erin Crocker and Juan Montoya. “We were really pleased with our test at Talladega,” said Gosselin. “Our cars performed very well and the track is absolutely incredible. It ought to be a good race with lots of speed and plenty of room for some great racing. As long as we can stay with the lead pack and keep our nose clean, we should be alright.”
Gosselin is hoping to join Frank Kimmel, Ken Schrader and Steven Wallace, as a repeat winner this year in the ever competitive series. If his runs at Daytona, Nashville, Michigan, Pocono and Kansas are any indication, he will definitely be a contender for the win. The team is currently 11h in the owner’s championship series point standings. For more information on Mario and his team visit his website, www.mariogosselin.com.
