| TBARA Honors Their Past This Weekend | KARNAC Staff Report
It's another "double dose of Sprints" weekend as the TBARA Sprint cars roll into Orlando Speedworld Saturday night for the first of two races. The next night the aces of the asphalt move to the high banks of DeSoto Super Speedway for a thrill show Bradenton fans just can't get enough of.

Friday night's show at Orlando is very special as it honors two of the true pioneers of the TBARA and Florida open wheel racing. The race is billed as the "Bob Luscomb/Billy Yuma Memorial" in memory of the two men who meant a lot to the open wheel sport in the south.
Billy Yuma was the winner of the first TBARA championship in TBARA history, while Bob Luscomb was one of the first car builders in Florida for open wheel racing.

He built a lot of TBARA cars, and winning cars at that. Each year a crew member is given an award for excellence in his honor.
The TBARA series head into this weekend with Troy DeCaire, Keith Butler and Michael Smith all within 9 points of each other chasing Bo Hartley, holder of a 80 point lead on the field.
Friday night grandstands open at Speedworld at 6 PM and racing gets started at 8 PM. Saturday night DeSoto Speedway gets under way at 7 PM.
