Brennan Palmiter Makes His Limited Late Model Debut | Ormond Beach, FL - 08/06/06 - Even though he is only 14 years old, Brennan Palmiter showed the patience and maturity of a driver many years his age when he took the track for the first time racing with the Limited Late Models at New Smyrna Speedway on Saturday night, August 5th, 2006. All features were shorted to just 15 laps for the night because of a long intermission where the fans were allowed to come down on the track to see the cars close up, meet the drivers and obtain autographs. This appeared to be the only limit that Brennan had as he ran the race. Track rules dictate that a new driver must start the feature in the rear so Brennan laid back to see how things would shake out in the opening lap before making a run at the drivers in the front. Ronnie Enfinger, Brennan's crew chief, had the car set up perfectly so it wasn't long before Brennan was making a move for 5th place. After patiently waiting for the opportunity to pass while he sized up the handling of car in front of him, he decided it was time to go. With the skill of a veteran racer, he set up the car in front of him and made a terrific run off turn 4 to make the pass on the outside for the position through turns 1 and 2. With the laps winding down quickly, Brennan closed on the 4th place car in just a few circuits around the track but didn't have enough time to go for the position. Brennan started racing go-karts in 1999 at Volusia Speedway Park. From there he branched out to run at every go-kart dirt track in Florida. Then, he moved up to race in the WKA State and National Dirt Series. From 2001 to 2004, in just over 175 starts he scored 85 top 5 finishes and 17 State and National wins. In 2005 he moved on from karting to race a T.Q. Late Model at many dirt and asphalt tracks through out North Florida and South Georgia scoring 12 top 5 finishes and one win in just 30 starts to finish up the season 4th in overall points for his first year. In 2006 he scored one win and 9 top 5 finishes in just 10 starts before moving on to the Limited Late Model. For the remainder of the year he will running with the Limiteds at New Smyrna Speedway through the end of the year. Livingood Motorsport would like to congratulate Brennan Palmiter for a fine performance in his first Limited Late Model race. Have an opinion on
