| Southern Sportsman joined by Florida Mini Stocks In Bronson Motor Speedway Action. | By Rick Warren
The weather is heating up, and so is the racing action in North Florida this weekend. Bronson Motor Speedway will be the place to be this Saturday night, as both the Highly Competitive and Popular Southern Sportsman Series and the Florida Mini Stock Challenge Series will be on hand to provide some awesome racing action.
Both Divisions will be running 50 green flag laps on the tight High Banks of Bronson Speedway.
Aaron Williamson, winner of the last series race at USA International Speedway, comes into the race with a scant 12 point lead in the series standings over the hard charging Derrik Heath. Williamson, on a quest for his third series championship, will have his work cut out for him. By series rule, the winner of the previous race will start no better than 11th position. Several drivers are in the hunt for the points race, including Michael Soukup, Rikk McMehan, Richie Smith, Ronnie Heard Jr., and many others.
This series always brings a lot of excitement to any track that they race on, and this race will be tough. You don’t want to miss this one!!
Also on hand will be the always exciting Mini Stocks. Chris Thornton, fresh off of his second win of the season, is looking to extend his lead in the point standings. Rick Sirmans, Raymond Folwell, Robbie Storer, Robbie Yoakam and a host of others have plans of their own. The field of Minis is always filled with a large number of drivers that are capable of winning at every race, and this will be no exception. Can Thornton claim his third win of the season from his 11th starting spot? Come on out to Bronson Motor Speedway and catch all the excitement, this Saturday night.
There will be Open Practice for all divisions on Friday Night May 26th 4-10 PM. Secure Transporter Parking and Free Camping to racers and race fans!
Pit Gate will Open at 2PM Saturday May 27th, Practice at 3 PM and Main Grandstands Open at 5 PM. Grandstand Admission for adults is $ 15.00, Kids 6-11 $ 5.00 and 5-under are free!
