ASA Late Model Series News | The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts 2006 season is fast approaching and a sure sign that the upcoming season is upon us!
The official entry forms for the first event of the 2006 season are available. Please be sure to get your entry forms into the ASALMS home offices no later than Monday, February 27th, to avoid the late fees.

In just one week, the cars and stars of the ASALMS Southern Division will christen the upcoming season and invade the fast 1/3 (.333) mile high-banked paved oval of the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway just outside of Gainesville, in Bronson, Florida.
The inaugural Florida 100 is set for Friday and Saturday March 3-4. Joining the ASALMS Southern Division will be a full show of Super Mini Cups and Figure 8s.
The first official event of the 2006 season for the ASALMS will surely draw waves of interest from teams from both the Northern and the Southern Divisions as well as those running the televised Challenge Division. Especially those teams looking to get acclimated to the template body/crate engine set-up.
The ASALMS Southern Division will open up the 2006 season overall for the entire ASALMS. The Inaugural Florida 100 will mark the first ever event under the ASALMS Southern Division banner and will give teams that also plan on running the televised Challenge Division as well as the Northern Division an early season showdown in preparation for each teams respective 2006 seasons.
Bronson Motor Speedway Promoter, Mike Cope is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the ASALMS Southern Division and has already planned ahead for an expected record crowd at his 1/3 mile high-banked paved oval which recently saw the track itself completely resurfaced.
The speedway also has many amenities available for camping during the first weekend in March as they have electricity and water available at some of the pit slabs as well as a spacious parking lot to park motor homes and such throughout the 2006 opener for the ASALMS Southern Division.
The day before the Inaugural Florida 100, Friday March 3, 2006, the Bronson, Florida speed plant will host an all-day test and tune at the Bronson, Florida speed plant for the teams of the ASALM Series Southern division to get some much needed track time in preparation for the 2006 opener! Practice will be from 2-9pm with the Tech Line opening at 9am.
On Saturday March 4th, The Pit Gates open at 7:30am, The Tech Line opens at 8:30am. ASALMS South Practice begins at 12:15pm, with Qualifying at 4:30pm. Racing is set to begin at 7pm with Super Mini Cups Heat races followed immediately by the 25-lap GM Performance Parts Shootout. The Florida 100 is set to get the green flag after pre-race ceremonies at approximately 8:30pm.
