1st Annual Mopar PRI Sprint and Midget Classic to be cablecast nationally on ESPN2 | BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Masters Entertainment Group has announced that the 1st Annual MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic will be cablecast on ESPN2, Friday, February 17, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This one-hour long program will showcase the 40-lap Midget and 40-lap Sprint Car features, and will highlight both the Ford Focus competition and 600 Racing Legends Car Invitational held at the Orlando SpeedWorld Raceway, Friday, December 2, 2005.
A repeat broadcast of the MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic will air on Sunday, March 12, at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Stephen Cox will anchor the ESPN2 broadcast, with expert commentary provided by Larry Rice, former USAC National Midget Champion and the 1978 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year. Doc Riley will handle pit reporter duties.
The MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic was produced in conjunction with the 18th Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, which is the world’s largest racing trade show. It was held December 1-3, 2005, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando. More than 42,000 racing entrepreneurs from 40 countries attended the Show, which has 1,400 companies exhibiting the latest advances in auto racing technology.
