C.A.R.S. Motorsports to return to track in 2006 | C.A.R.S. Motorports Media Orlando FL - C.A.R.S. Motorsports announced today it will field a team returning to racing after a 1 year absence. Owner Rick Bristol, who fielded Mini-stocks for 7 years at Orlando Speedworld, plans to return a team to racing in 06. Bristol, who has had drivers such as Chad Pierce, Brad May, Larwrence Usher, Carl Green, Bobby Orr and most recently RJ Arnone drive his number 30 mini-stock, has driving experience as well. Bristol, with Bobby Orr driving captured the 2002 track championship at Orlando Speedworld, then in 2004 RJ Arnone finished second in the season points. Bristol worked this season as crewchief for FASTRUCK driver Mike Powers and now has plans to return to racing himself with his family supporting him. Bristol will run a Truck Team in 2006. He will be debuting a Toyota backed Toyota truck for the new season. " I am excited to be able to do this again, I really enjoyed the racing and crewchiefing in the Truck series this year and wanted to do my own deal for 06. I am working a marketing package with Toyota Material & Handling and Florida Lift Systems to run a Toyota truck with some ties in to the automotive side. I think it will be really cool" stated Bristol. Florida Lift Systems is a Toyota Forklift dealer with branches in Orlando, Winterhaven and Tampa. The sister business Southern States Toyota Lift has locations in Jacksonville FL and in cities along the Southeast including Macon GA. Bristol is a service manager at the Orlando branch or Florida Lift. The truck will be number 30 in memory of Bristol's good friend and Florida racing star Pete Orr. It will be Toyota Orange and Grey. The truck will be powered by a GM crate motor, as Toyota does not have a crate program as of yet. " We are going to be finalizing many details over the coming couple of months and it will include customers, employees and Toyota staff. We are going for a multi faceted marketing proposal. We will also try to work with the tracks and both of the truck series to help promote overall truck racing and help introduce new fans to the area tracks" added Bristol. What Rick is most excited about is that he will travel with his wife and girls to the races and have former drivers and friends around to have fun with. " I am going to make this fun and a time of family and friends. I really thank the Lord for another opportunity to race. My wife has been great about this and I want her to be a big part of this. The team has ordered a new Pace American enclosed trailer and will be getting a new tow vehicle. They have purchased a truck and will be purchasing a ZZ4 crate motor from Mike Powers to begin the season. The team is currently working on several associate sponsors for the 06 season and will announce as they are finalized. If you are interested in joining a well marketed race team please call C.A.R.S. Motorsports at 407-497-0448 anytime. Bristol will continue to help driver Mike Powers as well in 2006." We will work together and race together a little too, that will be fun". Have an opinion on
