FASCAR Pro Trucks headline Orlando SpeedWorld June 17th Program | Samsula, Fla (June 13, 2005) The FASCAR Pro Trucks will take on the high banks of Orlando SpeedWorld this Friday night, June 17, for 50 action packed laps. Along with the Pro Trucks will be the Quick Kids who run for 25 laps.
Going into Friday night's event, Jamie Skinner leads the points for the FASCAR Pro Trucks with 508 points. Coming in second is Dawayne Barrus who has 410 points. Danny Foster stands third with 329 points followed by Bill Stacy with 306 points. Mike Gamache holds fifth in points with 273 points.
Young Matt Martin stands sixth with 173 points but Marty Wolf is not giving Martin much room for a mistake as he is only 6 points behind Martin with 167. B.J. Gill stands eighth with 136 points followed by Dalton Zehr in ninth with 92 points. Rounding out the top ten is our airline pilot Eddie Moran with 84 points.
This will be the first race for the FASCAR Pro Trucks under the new Race Director Terry Roberts. Roberts, who is head of Marketing for FASCAR, is very excited about this first race is looking forward to working the the FASCAR Pro Trucks. Along with Chris and Kim Brown who also work with the series, Don Hellyer has joined the team.
Joining the FASCAR Pro Trucks and Quick Kids will be the Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Stock, Mini Stock, and Strictly Stock.
Leading the points for the Open Wheel Modified division is Corey Freed with 376 points but close on his heels is Jared Allison with 333 points. Chuck Burkhalter stands third with 226 points followed by Shain Held with 193 points followed by Bob Beiler with 157 points. Rounding out the top ten are Terri Bryant with 141 points, Jason Boyd with 127 points, Jim "Hoot" Flynn with 111 points, Alan Bruns with 108 points and Jerry Artuso with 80 points.
Richard Hight leads the Sportsman division with 337 points. Jeff Wright and Andy Nicholls are tied for second with 279 points each. Timmy Todd Jr. stands fourth with 213 points followed by Charlie Vest in fifth with 168 points. Rounding out the top ten are Eddie Thornton with 101 points, Doug Samion with 98 points, Rip Dyal with 77 points, Earl Beckner with 74 points and Rusty Ebersole with 53 points.
Jason Foster and John Castro are in a close battle for the Super Stock points. Foster leads Castro with 383 points to Castro's 366 points. Brett Woodley stands third with 265 points followed by fourth place Bob Starr with 208 points although fifth place Dave Wright is only two points behind Starr with 206 points. Rounding out the top ten are Johnny Brown with 171 points, Ron Whaley with 168 points, Tom Vento with 152 points, Robert Ward with 147 points and Ray Mullis with 147 points.
Keith Lilley holds a 10 points lead over second place Pedie Allison in the Mini Stock division. Lilley has 386 points to Allison's 376 points. But only twenty points behind Allison is Sean Bass with 356 points. Josh Hermann stands fourth with 304 points followed by John Cook in fifth with 263 points. Michael Seay is only two points behind Cook with 261 points followed by seventh place Steven Emmanuel with 83 points. Bob Miller stands eighth with 72 points followed by Scott Reeves in ninth with 45 points. Bob Delmastro rounds out the top ten with 25 points.
Strictly Stocks normally don't run for points but this year they are. Ray Brown tops the points with 343 points followed by Andy Richards with 291 points. Third, and tied in points, is P.J. Mascaro and Bob Snyder with 164 points each. Tim Gibson stands fifth with 140 points.
The pit gate will open at 2 p.m. with practice for the Pro Trucks and Quick Kids alone from 3 to 4 p.m. with division practice to follow. General admission is $15.00, $10.00 for students and seniors and children 11 and under are free. Grandstands open at 6 p.m. with racing action at 8 p.m.
