Full Race Program set for SpeedWorld this Friday Night | by Jane Smith
Orlando, Fla. (April 20, 2005) Orlando SpeedWorld has a full race program for this Friday night which includes the always popular Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Stock, Mini Stock and Strictly Stock.
Watch as Rich Clouser, Ronnie Roach, Mike Hinegardner, Bobby Fleckinger, Chad Pierce, Jared Allison and others fight for that win. Rich Clouser won the first race of the year which was a 50 lapper in Keith Williams's Super Late Model. Clouser's fellow team-mate Bobby Fleckinger also has a win under his belt as well as Mike Hinegardner. Who will be the Super Late Model "King" this weekend, you have to be there to find out.
The Open Wheel Modifieds have been growing each week. Jared Allison has been doing double duty driving his Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified. Allison is second in points in the Modified division with former Super Stock Champion Corey Freed leading the points. Jason Boyd, Chuck Burkhalter, and Jim Flynn complete the top five in points.
For the third year in a row, Richard Hight leads the points for the Sportsman division. But not far behind Hight is second place Jeff Wright followed by Andy Nicholls, Doug Samion (who has returned to the Sportsman division after a two year absence), and Charlie Vest. These guys put on one heck of a show and make every Friday night a surprise.
Sean Bass leads the Mini Stock points over Keith Lilley, Pedie Allison (who has finally come back home), Michael Seay and Josh Hermann. These class may have been low on number but that does not stop the guys from putting on a number one show. And more Mini Stocks are expected as they are putting the finishing touches on them for the new year.
Jason Foster leads the Super Stock division by nine points over second place John Castro. Ron Whaley is third in points followed by Dave Wright and Tom Vento. In this class you just never know who will be in Winner's Circle. These guys fight hard and tough and entertain the fans well.
Strictly Stocks are getting points this year but not all have their FASCAR licenses yet so points are up in the air for another week when the points will be adjusted for non-license drivers. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. on Friday with racing action at 8:00 p.m. Orlando SpeedWorld is located between SR 50 and SR 520 in Bithlo, Florida. Have an opinion on this story?
