Full Race Card this Weekend at New Smyrna Speedway

Samsula, Fla. (April 20, 2005) New Smyrna Speedway will have a full program this Saturday night, April 23, as they welcome the Pro Truck 50/Quick Kids 25 and the Super Late Model 50 plus Mods, Sportsman, Super Stock, Mini Stock and Strictly Stock.

Jamie Skinner leads Dawayne Barrus in the Pro Truck Series by 62 points. Skinner, who won by a hair in a Chevy at Columbia Motorsports Park on April 9th, usually drives a Ford but obviously a Chevy works good for him also.

Mike Gamache has a four point lead in third over fourth place Matt Martin. Matt had a very good finish at Columbia coming in second to Skinner but he definitely made Skinner work for that win.

In fifth is Danny Foster who holds a ten point lead over Ron Gill in sixth. Bill Stacy, who was third last weekend at New Smyrna in the Pro Truck race, stands seventh in points followed by Dalton Zehr, winner of last week's Pro Truck race at New Smyrna.

Completing the top ten are pilot Eddie Moran who has a 14 point lead over Marty Wolf.

The Super Late Models return for their first race of the 2005 season with a 50 lapper. This will be a good weekend for a number of Super Lates to test their cars for the 125 lap race on April 30th at USA International in Lakeland.

Pit gates will open on Saturday, April 23rd, at 2 p.m. Qualifying for the Super Late Model 50, Pro Truck 50 and Quick Kids 25 will begin at 6:15. Racing action starts at 7:30 p.m.

New Smyrna Speedway is located between SR 44 and SR 415 between I-4 and I-95 eight miles west of New Smyrna in beautiful Samsula, Florida.
