FASTRUCK Banquet info and Series Update

FASTRUCK Series

Orlando FL. - The 2004 FASTRUCK Banquet will be held Saturday Night Feb. 5th at the Holiday Inn on Hwy 98 in Lakeland FL. Pro division, Sportsman division and FAST kids will honored.

The banquet will begin with social hour from 6-7p.m. with dinner to be served at 7p.m. then Awards beginning at 8p.m. Awards include Sportsman of the Year, Rookie of the Year and the Top in each division receiving trophies and/or contingency awards.

Please RSVP by Feb 1st with how many will be coming. The tickets will be $35.00 per person and you can call Rick Bristol at 407-497-0448 or FASTRUCK Office at 1-813-817-7223.

Holiday Inn has given a discount price of $50.00 per room if you mention FASTRUCK. The Holiday Inn is just East of I-4 off the exit for Hwy 98.

FASTRUCK also announced that Director of Racing Rick Bristol has hired veteran Sunshine Speedway official Ray Hickman as the final member of the FASTRUCK officials team. "Ray handled corner spotting and lineups for many years and is a great addition to our team. He was one of the top people I wanted for my staff and I am glad to have him on board" stated Bristol

FASTRUCK will open the season on Sunday afternoon Feb 27th at the Charlotte County Speedway and will be taped for T.V. A scheduled 10 races will be aired on Sunshine Network and the Men's Channel this year.

FASTRUCK will be planning a way to help Hurricane victims in the Charlotte County area during that weekend and more details will be forthcoming.

Also announced a second date at the famed Hialeah Speedway has been added to the schedule and that will be June 25th.

And finally in tech news Technical Director Carl Green announced a clarification to the weight rule all trucks must weigh 2850lbs with 56% left side. FASTRUCK reserves the right to use weight to equalize manufacturers if needed.

" My phone has been ringing off the hook and things are looking real good for the new year. Many have offered there support and plan to be back with FASTRUCK and we are going to give 110% to make sure we have a fair, consistent and professional series for them. I am excited about my staff and knowing that they all are what this series needs to go forward. I want all truck drivers to know my door is always open to talk and we would love for them to come race with us and put us to the test" added Bristol.
