Columbia Motorsports Park has Plenty of Action in Store for October 16th

Lake City, Fla. (October 13, 2004) Columbia Motorsports Park returns to regular racing this weekend after having Winged Sprints last weekend. The Super Lates, Open Wheel Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks and Hornets will all be in action as the weather cools down and the racing heats up.

Doyle Boatwright leads the Super Late Model points at Columbia by 200 points over newcomer Al Berry. Jimmy Andrews, Aaron Dreher, and Gale Grayer round out the top five in points. Completing the top ten are David Hodges, Don Hale, Dennis Nixon, Billy Dean and Al Beckelheimer.

Brad Fiene looks to be the next Street Stock Champion at Columbia Motorsports Park as he has over a 300 point lead on second place David Hart. It is third and fourth place Kelly Barber and Dave Barber who are running neck and neck in points and looks like it will be a battle between the two for third. Jason Garver rounds out the top five followed by Nevin Gainey, Roy Cram, John Mitchell, Jeff Prescott and Andy Kennedy.

Dale Mosley leads the Open Wheel Modified division and currently has a 276 point lead over Tom Roberts. Charles Seroki, Steve Brickhouse, and John Mitchell complete the top five. Sixth place Jason Garver holds a 3 point lead over seventh place Mark Bergman as they fight their way to the top. J. F. McClellan, Greg Nordstrom, and Terry Wright complete the top ten.

The Pure Stock division has a nice battle going as Josh Bedenbaugh leads the points by 113 over John Roling. This battle for the Championship will definitely be a close one. Caleb Mahler, Ronnie Cook, and John Oliver round out the top five. Allan Jones, Marty Wood, Brandon Mincey, Adam Hitt and Jeff Walden round out the top ten.

Grandstands open at 6 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m.
