Team Cheetah Racing on a roll in FASTRUCK and FASTKIDS Series | Rick Bristol / C.A.R.S. Racer Marketing Orlando FL. - October 9th - The Team Cheetah race team from South Florida is on a roll as they post a great finish at New Smyrna Speedway and then sweep the races at Hialeah. They now lead the FASTRUCK Pro and Sportsman series points. New Smyrna Speedway has not been a favorite track for George Morales. But he turned that around on October 2nd with a great third place effort. After qualifying seventh in the 26 truck field he ran strong early, even lead quite a few laps before struggling with a break problem down the stretch. " This is not one of our best tracks, but we keep getting better, and we are real happy with a third place effort" said Morales. " These guys have got to come to my house now, Hialeah, we will be ready. Well, ready they were , but not just George but Joey was ready as well. Joey would compete in the FASTKIDS 25 main event. He got things rolling by qualifying fastest and grabbing the pole. He then used some great concentration and steady lap times to lead all 25 laps and take his first career win in the FASTKIDS Series. " This is great , wow to win here for my first , this is awesome" said Joey. " Thanks to the Diaz family for allowing me this opportunity and for Dad for helping me get around this place, what a night. Next up dad would not let son out do him. George qualified second and would start outside the front row. He would use a great start to grab the lead and then worked lap traffic to perfection to lead all 75 laps and take his first Pro Series win in FASTRUCK. " I was so pumped up for Joey that it just made me want it even more. We had a great truck and we knew this was the place we could win. My team is so great they give me a great truck just about every time out. I can't thank the Diaz family and my crew enough for all they do. We now lead the Sportsman and the Pro series points and we are really running well. I am looking forward to the rest of the season" said Morales. " We are so proud of George and Joey and this makes all the hard work worth it . We sure thank our sponsors for all there help. Express Tire & Service, Metro Truck Collision and 11th Ave. Auto & Truck Recyclers. They really make this possible. We want to thank the crew guys again for all there hard work, they do such a great job" said Damaris and Arnold Diaz. The team now will head to the USA International Speedway in Lakeland as the points leader this Saturday, October 16th. Have an opinion on this story?
