George Morales takes seventh in seven, Joey gets First Top Five in FASTKIDS | Rick Bristol / C.A.R.S. Driver Marketing May 21st - Orlando FL. - George Morales would manage a good seventh place finish after dropping a cylinder early in the race at Orlando Speedworld. Morales would qualify third out of the 29 truck field and after the inversion found himself starting from the sixth spot. On just lap two of the event Morales knew he had a problem and was running on seven cylinders. The truck was still really good in the corners but lacked down the straight-aways. Morales would use some patience and hard driving to hold on to the top ten finish. " I would normally be happy with this finish, but we had the best truck I have had so far and we really thought we had a shot at the win here" said Morales. " We will be taking care of that problem before the next race, that is twice we have dropped cylinders. George did a great job getting that finish, he has really driven us out of some problems to post solid finishes. We want to get everything to work together once and I know we can win one of these things" said owners Arnold and Damaris Diaz. Morales all though a rookie on the series is now third in points just 6 points out of the lead and just 2 from second. The team is sponsored be Express Tire and Service, Metro ruck Collision and 11th Ave Auto & Truck Recyclers. The team will prepare for a June 5th event at Columbia Motorsports Park in Lake City. That race to be a 75 lap taped for TV event. Joey Morales post first career top 5 in FASTKIDS competition! Orlando FL. - Joey Morales would battle Matt Martin and hold on for a fourth place finish at Orlando Speedworld. After slipping in qualifying and posting eighth. Morales drove a good solid race and battled Matt Martin the final eight laps to score his first series top five. " I am really excited about this , wow my truck was real good tonight and I am starting to feel more comfortable in it. Battling Matt was really fun and thanks to the Diaz family for this chance" said Morales. Joey will now prepare for the 1/2 mile Columbia Motorsports Park in Lake City. That race to be 25 laps on the big track. " We are all really proud of Joey's first top five and we know there will be more to come, he is learning from dad and getting better each time out" said truck owners Arnold and Damaris Diaz.
