The "Hoot" has Up and Down Weekend

Orlando FL. - Jim Flynn aka "Hoot" had an up and down go of it in FASCAR racing action.

Friday night at Orlando Speedworld Flynn would post a good second place finish. Flynn would start the 15 lap modified main event 3rd and quickly made the move into second where he would remain as he pressured eventual winner Chad Pierce. Flynn tried several moves in his Business Archives # 57 entry.

" Chad is just so smooth out there I tried some stuff but he would have had to make a mistake for me to get by" said Flynn. " I did learn from him though as I followed him on the groove here at Orlando, good finish I will take it" he added.

Flynn had won the week before at New Smyrna in a regular feature event and had his eye on a good finish again. The Penske Racing Shocks United Pro Modified Tour was in town for the Tommy Patterson Memorial 50 Lap event.

After qualifying Flynn would end up in the top five qualifiers, but tech would be tough for four of the top 5 qualifiers. One had to change a motor and several were relegated to the tail for the start ,one would be Flynn. He would start 19th in the 20 car field.

After making several moves to make up several spots in the opening 20 lap green flag run, a caution would fly on lap 20 with Flynn now up to eleventh.
The race would go another 10 laps before the next caution would fly, but this time Flynn would be part of it. Two cars would get together and Flynn had no place to go and hit the back of Dave Savicki's #70.

That would place him back to 15th for the restart but he would work back to a ninth place finish at the checkers, which saw Lee Collins win the Tommy Patterson Memorial event.

" We struggled a little but came back to get a decent finish so its not all so bad, but we had fun!" said Flynn.
