FASTRUCK and ASA as USA International this Weekend

Orlando FL. - After running a test ASA Winter Heat series the FASTRUCK series is set to open the 2004 season this weekend. Series owner Bobby Diehl worked with ASA to do a 5 race series over the winter to draw attention to the ASA coming to USA this week.

The mini-series worked pretty well for the first time try. Now the ASA is rewarding FASTRUCK for its work by adding them to their big opening event festivities.

"We are very proud and excited to be involved with ASA and to have had a chance to run the Winter Heat deal with ASA endorsement" Said Diehl. "Our guys will put on a great show this weekend for ASA, USA and the fans." He added."

"This is a big event for the truck series and we will work very hard to make it a professional and exciting show" said series director Burt Thomas.

The FASTRUCKS will begin registration Friday morning at 10 a.m. The first practice for the truckers will be at 2:45 then again at 4:30.

Saturday things get started early as the pits open promptly at 8:30 a.m. FASTRUCKS practice at 11:45 for the final time. Then at 1:30 they qualify for the top 30 spots. The remaining trucks will do battle at 3p.m. in a 15 lap or 15 min B main for the next 12 spots. The final two spots will be promoters options or provisionals.

At 3:30 the FASTRUCK series drivers will meet and greet the fans in an autograph session. Then at 4:30 the FASTRUCKS go to war for 75 laps of intense door to door high speed action around the beautiful 3/4 mile USA International Speedway.

The race is sponsored by Work Force/ Spartan Staffing and will showcase the great talent of FASTRUCKS top drivers. "We expect a big field of trucks and we will busy but if it all goes well it will be one of the big highlights of the season." Explained FASTRUCK technical director Carl Green.

You will see top names in the series like defending champion Tommy King, Eddie Moran,Bobby Owens,Jimmy Gill, James Wright III, James Glover and more!
