Strahley Racing to compete in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing | by Jane Smith Eustis, Fla. (February 4, 2004) After a year long absence in motorsports, Strahley Racing will return to the high banks of New Smyrna Speedway for nine nights of racing action with Cynthia Strahley behind the wheel. In 2002, Cynthia ran second in points in the Late Model division and took off 2003 to regroup and work on her racing program. "I am very excited about returning to New Smyrna and the Late Model division. After the World Series is over, I hope to run for Rookie of the Year in the Goodyear Late Model Series and also do alittle weekly racing at New Smyrna Speedway," said Strahley. With the help of her prime sponsor, JB Trojan Farms of Kansas, Strahley has purchased two cars which she plans to run in 2004. "One car will be strictly for the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing and weekly racing and the other car will be our Goodyear Late Model Series car." JB Trojan Farms of Kansas raises registered polled Herefords which are grain fed and sold to other cattle breeders for some of the best meat in the country. "Without the support of JB Trojan Farms of Kansas, I would not be able to achieve my goals in racing. Their support means alot to me and my crew and I also plan to use our race car for the charitable organizations I am involved with and other community involvement that I have dedicated myself to." Strahley, who is one of just a few female drivers in local racing, is very excited about 2004. Helping Strahley and her crew for the World Series with tires for the 9 nights of racing are 4 Boys Tire and Service which has been in operation since 1996 in Daytona. 4 Boys is AAA Certified, NAPA Car Care Center that repairs cars, trucks, motorhomes and heavy equipment and also is a Cruise America Motor Home Dealer and a Budget Truck Dealer. A very special thanks to Jeff Colburn and J&C Gradall Service and Charlie Collins and Collins Manufacturered Homes who both sponsored tires for Cynthia. Both Colburn and Collins race at New Smyrna Speedway in the Super Stock division where Collins was the 2003 Super Stock Champion and Colburn was second in overall points. "I would also like to thank Vinyl Works of Debary who has done all my graphics and logos and been there everytime I have needed them. And I cannot forget my first sponsor James H. Monroe, P.A. in Orlando who specializes in bankruptcy, estate planning and probate. James Monroe helped me all thru my first year of racing a Late Model and without his support, I may not have been runner up in points."
"This has been a very exciting time for me and my crew and we look forward to the World Series and seeing our racing program going forward. I cannot thank everyone who has helped me along the way enough, hopefully I will show them in just a few days that their sponsorship was well deserved," said one happy lady. The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing will begin February 6 and run thru February 14 at New Smyrna Speedway. Have an opinion on this story?
