McPhail Motorsports Adds Two New Sponsors | by Jane Smith Pineallis Park, Fla. (Nov. 3, 2003) McPhail Motorsports is proud to announce that two new sponsors have joined their team, Dependable Driveshaft of Largo, Fla. and Apple Insurance of Cary, North Carolina.
The new sponsors will join Harbor Towing of Melbourne, Fla., AJED, INC., supplier for natural sea shells for fresh or saltwater aquariums and ponds and Airborne Tires of Hudson, Fla., supplier of new and used tractor trailer tires.
Tim McPhail, better known at Orlando SpeedWorld and New Smyrna Speedway as the "Missileman", is in a tight points battle for the Mini Stock Championship at New Smyrna Speedway but will see a second Championship this year at Orlando SpeedWorld.
McPhail, who was not running for points this year but just fun, will dedicate his Championship at SpeedWorld to his friend Ray Crews, better known as the "gas man" who passed away this year.
"Ray was a great friend to us and always offered us a place to stay and helped in finding sponsorship so we could run. We named our new car the "Crews Missile" that we run at New Smyrna Speedway on Saturdays for Ray and his wife Barbie Crews. With this new sponsorship added to our team, this will help us keep on running for our friend." said a tearful Tim McPhail.
