C.A.R.S. Racing returns this week at Orlando SpeedWorld | by Rick Bristol
Orlando Fl. - The defending mini-stock track champion team will return to racing this weekend at Orlando Speedworld. After one event earlier this season in which Chad Pierce wheeled the car to victory, the team will make only its second start of the year.
Chad Pierce will be behind the wheel again this week and the team is running a brand new prepared Bobby Sears race engine. " I have laid out this year because of lack of sponsors and trying to originally sell the car, but we are back and are going to just try to have fun and win some races" said car owner Rick Bristol. " Chad did a great job for us earlier this year with the wrong gear and all in the car so I thought we would give him the whole package this time" added Bristol.
The team plans to run several of the remaining races at Orlando as well as the 100 Lap FMSC series at New Smyrna November 22nd. " We will have several different drivers in the car over the next few weeks including Chad, Carl Green, Bobby Orr and I may drive one week too!".
The team is working on sponsor deals to run the 2004 season in one form or another. Look for more announcements soon.
"We tested Wednesday at Orlando and the car is real good and I am not yet totally comfortable, we will do a little tweaking before Friday" said Chad Pierce. Watch for the #30 machine Friday at Orlando Speedworld racing at 8 p.m. Have an opinion on this story? Post a message on our Message Board! or send a letter to the editor!
