CHARLOTTE/GOODYEAR CHALLENGE TWIN 50s SATURDAY

The Charlotte/Goodyear Challenge Limited Late Model Series returns to Charlotte County Speedway this Saturday night, Sept. 27, with twin 50-lap features scheduled.

The twin 50s are a makeup from the Aug. 9 rainout at the Punta Gorda paved oval.

They will act as points races for both the Goodyear Challenge traveling series and the CCS Limited Late Models.

There are four other regular divisions scheduled for Saturday night – Sportsman, Super Stocks, Road Warriors and 4-Cylinders.

The program rates as a special show and admission will be $15 for adults. Prices will go back to the regular $9 the following week, Oct. 4.

There are 11 racing dates left on the 2003 Charlotte County Speedway program and track owner/promoter LeRoy Davidson figures three of them to be special shows. The rest will be $9 shows.

The front gates will open at 4 p.m. and qualifying will start at 6:30 p.m. racing will follow.

Charlotte County Speedway is located off Exit 161 of I-75 on Piper Road in Punta Gorda. The track is located on the south end of the Airport Industrial Park.
