National Late Model Series goes "topless" on a "Kickin Asphalt" doubleheader

by Steve A. Howell
WAYCROSS, Ga. -- The officials of Ocala Speedway, Columbia Motorsports Park, and the NLMS announced today, that this weekend's event will be a topless event!! The fans in the area love to see the late model dirt cars on asphalt with the tops off so they can watch the drivers. This has always been a fan favorite. It gives race fans a great view of the driver in the cockpit.

Patrick Sheltra, the young rookie from Indiantown Fla. still leads the 2003 points race while leading the 2003 Bert’s Transmission “Rookie of the Year” points.

Again there will be a practice this Thursday night at Ocala, then Friday we will kick off the Asphalt Double Header that will pay $25,000 over two days. We hope to see everyone at the track this weekend!
