Hammer Hits Homerun At East Bay

Tampa Bay, Florida April 26, 2003 - 16 year-old 2003 Winter National Young Gun Champion Hammer Martin hit another home run with a Feature Event win at Florida's East Bay Raceway Park.

Driving the DUIFla.com, LLC / Martin Structures, Inc. 360 Sprint Car and starting from outside Row 2, Hammer ran with the big dogs, in a high horsepower, seriously slippery, slidefest.

Fellow competitor, Casey Johnson, did an endo during the heat race, borrowed a wing from Hammer, who helped him set the car up, in a great showing of sportsmanship.

Torrential rains, less than 24 hours before the event did not prevent Promoter Al Varnadore from prepping the track for a full schedule of events.
